🏗️ Canterbury Court Apartments – Ongoing Project Update

We’re pleased to share progress from another of our ongoing projects at Canterbury Court Apartments, where a former coaching inn is being transformed into 14 beautiful residential apartments.

These photos showcase Apartments 1 & 2, located on the top floor of the development.

As with many of our projects for Paul Jackson, the work has been both challenging and rewarding. Our team worked through May’s heatwave, with temperatures reaching 30°C outside and even higher inside the building. Despite the conditions, the project remained on schedule, demonstrating our team’s commitment, professionalism, and strong work ethic.

Scope of Works Completed:

☑️ Double insulated ceilings

☑️ 100mm Kingspan insulation to all vaulted ceilings and external stud walls

☑️ Insulation to all neighbouring party walls

☑️ Double fire boarding to all exit areas

☑️ Double sound boarding to neighbouring walls

☑️ Foil-backed boarding to all ceilings

☑️ 75mm insulated plasterboard to all external walls

☑️ Stainless steel beading to all edges

☑️ Expansion taping to all joints and corners

☑️ Full plastering throughout

Another full external transformation completed on this semi-detached home 🏡✨

From tired and weathered to clean, modern, and built to last — a finish that really showcases the standard of work we pride ourselves on at Ashley Evans Plastering.

For this project, we carried out:

✔️ Full strip back to the original brick substrate
✔️ R7 primer application
✔️ HP12 base coat with full reinforcement mesh installed throughout
✔️ Ivory beading detail
✔️ Finished with K Rend Silicone FT in Fintry Stone 🎨

After allowing the render to cure , we returned to apply a protective coat of K Pro. This helps keep the render cleaner for longer while adding extra protection and longevity to the finish 🏡

A fantastic transformation and another happy customer ✅

Another fantastic rendering project completed for Gary and Olga 🤩

This beautiful home, tucked away alongside its own stables and horses 🐴, has been undergoing a full renovation — and we were proud to be chosen to carry out both the internal plastering and external rendering works 👷‍♂️🧰

A key feature of this project was the bespoke freehand quoin detailing, designed to add character and enhance the overall appearance of the property 🏡✨ The finished result really complements the style and setting of the home.

For the render finish, Gary and Olga chose K-Rend Silicone White 🎨 — a modern, low-maintenance system that provides a clean finish with long-lasting colour and no need for painting.

A big thank you to Olga for keeping the team fuelled with brews and sandwiches throughout the project ☕🥪❤️

Dom & Helen’s beautiful home in the Ribble Valley 🏡

We recently completed a full rendering project after ongoing issues with rainwater and damp penetrating the existing, worn sand and cement render. This required a full strip-back and grind-down to ensure a solid, long-lasting finish from the ground up.

With multiple roof areas involved, extra care was essential. We carefully sheeted and protected the slates, along with boarding out work areas to minimise disruption. Projects like this can be intrusive, but we always aim to keep things running as smoothly and efficiently as possible 👷‍♂️

The chosen finish was K-Rend silicone white 🎨 — a clean, modern look that offers excellent durability. At Helen’s request, we also added bespoke detailing to the corners, maintaining character with a precise freehand finish 👌

To further protect the property, we recommended sealing both the render and stonework. This enhances weather resistance and helps keep surfaces cleaner for longer, reducing future maintenance 💎

It’s been a busy start to the year with some long days, but at Ashley Evans Plastering we take pride in delivering high-quality results every time 🫡

✨ K-Rend season is now in full swing! ✨

What a stunning transformation this project has had — a complete bungalow facelift, and the results speak for themselves 🤩

Extra care was essential throughout this project, with the neighbouring newly tarmacked driveway and the property’s brand-new black windows and doors. It definitely required the AEP touch 👌

The existing brickwork had started to weather and deteriorate, so a full bungalow and garage restoration and protection system was the perfect solution.

It’s the planning, attention to detail, and dedication from AEP that delivers results like this every time ✨
