🚨 ANOTHER RENDER RESCUE BY TEAM AEP! 🛟🤩

Here’s a quick update on one of our recent projects! 📸🦾

Unfortunately, this brand-new extension had been rendered just 12 months ago, but the thin-coat render system was already failing and needed completely removing and replacing. 😳

Thin-coat systems are designed to be just that — thin, often around 3mm thick. When incorrectly specified or poorly installed, they can fail prematurely, leaving homeowners facing the expense and frustration of having to put things right.

Sadly, this is now around the 10th similar job I’ve been asked to rescue for different customers. It genuinely saddens me to see homeowners left in this position, having invested their hard-earned money into work that hasn’t stood the test of time. ❤️

No professional tradesman wants to come along and put somebody else’s work right, but when people ask us for help, TEAM AEP will always do our best to help where we can! 🤝

For Rob’s extension, we removed the failing render and started again, applying a more substantial silicone coloured render system to give the property a fresh, clean and professional finish. 💎

As you can see, Rob now has a beautifully flat, fresh-looking extension with a finish designed to provide long-lasting protection when correctly installed and maintained. 👌

🏡 DOUBLE THE COTTAGES, DOUBLE THE TRANSFORMATION! 🤩🦾

Here’s one of our recent rendering projects, featuring two beautiful cottages transformed with K-Rend Silicone in Pewter Grey 🎨✨

Another project completed for our fantastic repeat clients, who quite honestly have the patience of saints 😇❤️ Our waiting times can sometimes be lengthy, but we believe the finished results speak for themselves. We’re incredibly grateful for the continued trust and support of our returning customers!

🤩 ANOTHER STUNNING K-REND TRANSFORMATION BY TEAM AEP! 🏡✨

Check out one of our latest projects, completed for Mick Anwar Building Contractor 🤝🦾

This property has undergone some major improvements, with Mick’s team carrying out extensive work, including rebuilding part of the gable end to ensure structural integrity, re-roofing sections of the gable roof and removing the old, dated sand and cement render.

The finishing touch? A fresh, modern K-Rend Silicone finish in Stone 🎨🔥

At TEAM AEP, we were proud to play our part in bringing this project over the finish line 🏁 Working alongside other skilled trades and keeping everyone in sync is what helps deliver a quality finish and keep projects moving in the right direction! 💪

✅ Polymer base coat with crack-resistant mesh across all rendered surfaces.
✅ Carefully squared corners and colour-matched beads for a sharp, crisp finish.

☀️ LIGHTING IS EVERYTHING!

Here’s a great example of how much the appearance of a finished render can change depending on the light and the mood of the sky. The same property can look completely different throughout the day!

We’re showcasing one of our favourite colours here — K-Rend Silicone Ch*****ne 💎 A beautiful finish that can almost appear as two different colours depending on the conditions, giving the property plenty of character.

Over the years, TEAM AEP has carried out extensive damp-related works for Malcolm & Jacquie, including a full external re-render of the property alongside internal damp works.

This is what we like to call our “belt and braces” approach — addressing the underlying issues properly rather than simply treating the symptoms. 🤩

🏡 Fully Internal Plastering & External Rendering — Cottage Project 🏡

Another project completed by Team AEP 💪

After the original plasterers had started this project for Elliot and it became clear that the works were unfortunately beyond their capabilities, Team AEP were brought in to take over and put things right. 🦾

Following an initial inspection and our professional assessment, we recommended and carried out a comprehensive specification of works:

🔹 Fully internal plastering throughout the property, including thermal plasterboarding to all external-facing internal walls, helping to improve the property’s thermal performance and EPC rating.

🔹 Overboarding of the existing lath and plaster ceilings throughout, providing a strong and reliable new surface ready for finishing.

🔹 Breathable silicone coloured render system to the external walls.

🔹 Reinforcement mesh incorporated throughout the render system, increasing strength, durability and helping to provide a longer-lasting finish.

🎨 Final colour choice: K-Rend Silicone — Fintry Stone 🤩

The finished result gives this beautiful cottage a fresh, modern appearance while combining the aesthetics with improved performance and durability. 👌
