This job was a tricky one to find, the customer informed me there was water existing the side of the room this was in (wet room installed in a garage). It was traced back to cold water feed that came from the top of the room.
After removing the tiles and on closer inspection it was found to be coming from the bottom pipe connection.
Whoever installed the shower hadn’t cleaned the joint fitting before soldering the joint to form a seal and because of that the solder didn’t go into the joint and no seal was formed apart from the solder around the rim of the joint.
The joint was made good, tested and everything put back as it was.

This job had issues with the bath leaking on and off and damaging the ceiling below, it turned out to be a badly installed bath that in turn damaged the floor it stood on and was never going to hold the weight of the bath securely.
The floor was stripped back and made strong and instead on a bath going back in its place a shower tray was installed at the customers request.
A new mixer shower, shower panelling, shower tray and screen was fitted and now we have a happy customer.

A nice upgrade from a vented copper hot water cylinder that had been leaking to a unvented hot water cylinder, they now benefit from good equal pressure at all taps throughout the house and cost savings due to its insulation and modern design.
