Just got off the phone with the school 📞

Spoke to the deputy head… and honestly, if there’s one person there I actually believe in, it’s him.
He’s the only one who seems to have his head screwed on.

But I’m still left with a sour taste.

I’ve gone through the school policy about removing pupils’ items.
It clearly says if something is taken, it should be handed into reception, and the child should collect it at the end of the day.

The teacher took it upon herself… after three polite asks from Belles…to tell her she could collect them tomorrow.
That’s not policy. That’s personal.

The teacher escalated it.
Belles got frustrated, upset, and didn’t know how to respond.
And like any kid who feels unheard… she snapped.

She swore.
She said, “Give me my f**ing beads back.”*

And you know what?
If it were me, I’d have said the same thing.
Give me my f*ing beads back.**

Because those beads aren’t toys.
They’re how she copes.
They help her stay calm in a world that’s too loud for her.

But instead of understanding that, she’s been suspended.
By a teacher who created and escalated the whole situation.
It’s absolutely diabolical.

They won’t remove the suspension.
I have to appeal it.
And I will.

But I’ll also be taking it further…because this isn’t just about Belles.
It’s about every kid with SEN, with special needs, with struggles that no one sees.

Someone has to stand up.
The system failed me.
It’s failed so many of us.
And I’m not letting it fail our kids too.

Stand up for what’s right.
For understanding.
For change.
