GAP Roofing Services is a long-established and highly regarded roofing contractor in the Northwest. We specialise in reactive maintenance and planned works across the commercial sector. Much of our work involves leak detection on various roof types, so we are looking for an experienced roofing operative to join the company.
We are looking for a hard-working, enthusiastic and knowledgeable person to assist with flat roofing / traditional roofing and leak detection tasks. We are a friendly team passionate about good health and safety practices. We are a growing company and are looking for someone who aspires to become a supervisor to lead a small team and can efficiently work through jobs without constant supervision. We specialise in roofing services; however, our works often extend into the wider building envelope. Must be comfortable working at heights. Ideally, we are looking for an all-rounder with good experience in roofing and joinery. Flat roofing experience with rubber, felt, bituminous products, or GRP is highly preferable; however, training will be ongoing for the right person. Key Responsibilities: • Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems, including flat, pitched, and sloped roofs, using tiles, slates, and felt materials. • Carry out roof inspections and assess the condition of roofs for necessary repairs.
• Work with safety equipment and follow company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. • Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to meet project deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction. • Maintain and care for tools and equipment to ensure longevity and safety.
Qualifications: • Previous experience in roofing or construction (Required). • Knowledge of different roofing materials and techniques. • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations. • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials. • Valid driving licence (Required). • IPAF licence (Preferred). Key Skills: • Roofing techniques and material knowledge. • Safety practices in roofing and construction. • Ability to use roofing tools and equipment effectively. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
