A new customer invited me to design and manufacture a six door wardrobe with internal drawers and hanging rails. The unit was finished in Dulux ‘Warm Pewter’ in a satin finish. The doors used Blum soft close cup hinges and all the drawers also had a soft closing action. The wardrobe reveals to the bench seat/ window were also panelled to create a visually improved return.

A previous customer in Dedham Essex removed a wall and asked me install a handrail, spindles and newel posts. The existing newel was extended to match the new set.

A previous customer recommended my skills to a friend living in Bedfield, Suffolk.

We came up with a design between us and it was put into production.
⠀
Two double electrical sockets needed to be kept within the unit and so the cupboards were adapted to keep easy access. Large holes were provided to pass through plugs and provision was made on site to allow an aerial cable to pass from the right side to the television.

The cupboard doors used Blum, soft close cup hinges with white ceramic k***s.
⠀
Adjustable shelves were provided in seven of the cupboards.

The unit was made from 18mm moisture resistant mdf and 18mm plywood. All the sheet material was purchased from ML Panels, Lawford.

The whole unit was hand painted priming with Dulux trade unprimed and finished with Bedec, Matt white.

A new customer asked me if I would fit a door set for him if he purchased it. His existing door set was not worth repairing but he could purchase a new set very similar to the existing. Being rendered in I suggested reducing the width by 5mm each side to reduce the amount of making good. The customer had decorated the frame but not the doors, as he did not want the oak finish. Being the last unit in stock the ironmongery threw up a couple of issues but they were overcome.

A new customer who was recommended by a friend asked me to carry out maintenance following a Fire Door Assessment. The prescribed remedial works were not feasible and I condemned both door sets explaining why. The customer was free to contact other companies but he asked me to quote for replacement door sets.

A lovely repeat customer asked me to manufacture and install a wardrobe with drawers. A set of box-shelves and a pull down hanging rail were built inside. The drawers had full extension 600 mm soft close runners fitted. Sheet material from M L Panels, Lawford.

I was recommended by a previous customer to hang 11 Mexicano oak faced doors (a pair to follow) fitting Fuller and Forge Tanaro Satin Bronze Hexagonal Lever handles and associated ironmongery finishing with two coats of Polyx Osmo Oil, clear matt.

A previous customer in Dedham, Essex asked me to fit 5 Dordogne prefinished oak doors with Black ironmongery. Some needed trimming on all four side and all planed edges were treated with hard wax oil.
