This month we have welcomed young Lucas Marshall to the team as our latest mechanical engineering apprentice.

Assisting our engineers with a composite (fab/fusion weld/pressed) DN150 gas supply line for his first assignment is some introduction to the trade!

Contract agreed to replace a bank of obsolete Remeha Gas 310 boilers with the successive Gas 320 Ace range for Immanuel College in Bushey.

Today a team of our engineers purged an existing 380m gas outlet to inert so we can fabricate a new gas manifold to facilitate the installation of a new DN150 gas branch to a process line we are working on in Nottinghamshire.

A very worthwhile project to be involved in with more details to follow as we progress!

Another productive week at Safeguard Group 🫡

With many projects underway at various stages of completion we were happy to sign this number off 💪🏻

Helping a close company ally to repair and maintain this DN150/100 chiller plant network for Birmingham town hall.

With a new pressurisation unit, a replacement 500L & 100L expansion vessel, a set of calibrated pressure gauges and installing a new pressure relief valve due to one being missed upon the original installation we can ensure that the town all and apartment block have a perfect working system.

What starts well ends well 🤝

We have had a young man join us this week on work experience from Ashfield School, Kirkby-in-Ashfield.

Ollie enjoyed his week, helping the guys prep for installation of a DN100 stainless steel gas network, learning to calculate heatlosses for a heating system and Helping around the shop Mansfield Mechanical Supplies Limited

Today we have a successful relight of an 11MW (11,000kW) CH4 Nat. Gas auxiliary burner after a team of our engineers conducted:

- A full strip and service of the burner head, blowers and venters.
- Demounting, cleaning and resealing of regulating SSVs and filters.
- Fabrication, pressure testing & replacement of pneumatic hoses.
- Function testing of the gas rig and hydrocarbon detection system.
- Gas purging & tightness testing to meter skids and downstream gas outlet on an intermediate pressure network. (2bar - 7bar).

After an intense 11 day shutdown period Rothes CoRDe power station is currently at 40% on its way back up to full generation.
