I've been having a bit of a think and because I understand that money is tight at the minute, I just wanted you to know that we may not be the cheapest quote for your project and this is part of the reason.
According to recent timber price charts, the cost of production for construction timber globally has skyrocketed by more than 50% since pre-pandemic levels and in 2023 alone a minimum of 10% price increases are being seen across the timber markets. This unprecedented rise in prices can be attributed to several factors, including supply chain disruptions caused by the ongoing pandemic, increased demand for wood due to construction booms, and the effects of climate change on the global timber industry.
The price of timber obviously effects your quotes, it's not us trying it on 😆.
We will only use decent timber for any project and we use the correct wood for the type of project we are doing.
Cheapest doesn't always mean better and to put it bluntly, you'll probably end up having the cheap build re done!
Craig sits and works his quotes out, making them the lowest price he possibly can. This also includes using the correct screws, joins in wood, putting brackets the right way etc.
Sorry for the long post! I just felt that for those of you that don't know us personally, I wanted to reassure you that we are not rip off merchants or an odd job man that's not qualified in anything!
