A very proud moment for U-Wood Bespoke Designs! 🙌
On Thursday 16 July, we had the privilege of attending the launch of the exciting new partnership between Andersen EV and English Heritage, held in the stunning surroundings of Wrest Park in Silsoe, Bedfordshire.
The collaboration has created two limited-edition wooden EV charger fascias, inspired by the heritage, architecture and craftsmanship of two remarkable English Heritage locations: Wrest Park and Eltham Palace.
We was entrusted with manufacturing both colour fascia designs for Andersen’s A2, A3 and A4 chargers. We were also involved during the development stage, helping to perfect the colours and finishes that bring each design to life.
The Wrest Park finish takes its inspiration from the magnificent Giant Redwood tree within the estate, while the darker Eltham Palace design reflects the beautiful Blackbean veneer found within the palace’s iconic entrance hall.
Seeing the finished chargers proudly displayed at Wrest Park was a genuinely special moment. There’s something quite surreal about knowing that work created in our workshop is now part of a partnership between Andersen EV and English Heritage—combining modern EV technology with British heritage, sustainable materials and traditional craftsmanship.
As a small independent business, being asked to play a part in a project of this calibre means an enormous amount. We couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve produced or more excited to see these limited-edition designs officially launched.
