Wetroom completed in Yaxley,

This was for a friend’s parents who required their bathroom changing to a wetroom due to unfortunate health issues,

We ripped out the unwanted shower tray, screen and basin unit,
Removed all the tiles on walls and floor and got rid of the old plastic boxing in,
Re-boarded walls with cement board, strengthened the floor joists where needed to fit the wetroom tray and cement boarded over the chipboard floor.
Installed a non slip wetroom vinyl, new tiles to the walls, boxed in waste pipe underneath in downstairs washroom, refitted existing pan and cistern unit, installed new shower, wall hung basin and fold down shower chair. Customer also opted for a shower curtain rather than glass for safety and we swung the door the other way to open onto the landing rather than into the bathroom.

Collaborating on a herringbone job this week with an old friend got me looking back at other herringbone jobs Iv completed in the past,

Here’s one from 2023 in Holme Village where a regular customer needed their splashback tiling in their new kitchen after they’d had an extension completed,

Customer supplied the tiles, I just supplied the adhesive, grout and edging

After and before of bathroom 1 of 3 in this property,

1200x600 porcelain on the floor and behind the wall hung WC, finished with natural grey grout,
200x75 ceramic herringbone inside shower enclosure, finished with mid grey grout and black edging on both

Will post the other two bathrooms over the next couple of days and the complete finished bathrooms once plumbers have 2nd fixed in a week or two,

Full bathroom refit completed in Sawtry just before bank holiday,

Removed all of existing suite and tiles,
Added some stud work to accommodate the new shower, more stud work for the wall hung WC, adjusted pipework for the wall hung basin and unit, used waterproof boarding prior to tiling, installed the 900x 300 tiles, new cable for electric mirror, supplied and fitted new extractor fan and fitted LVT click system on the floor.

Client supplied all the materials for this job, not something I’d usually do but with the right agreements in place I was happy to take the job on.

At the start of job there was a couple of issues with the materials but have to commend the customer who solved the problems really quickly and didn’t hold the schedule up
