Faced with furlough from a national charity job, I began by helping the local community with small gardening tasks, offering companionship to the lonely, and creating opportunities for others in a similar position. What started as a humble initiative has now evolved into something extraordinary. Today, Furlads stand

Nothing quite says British Bank Holiday like standing in the pouring rain in a little Welsh village, waiting for a giant papier-mâché fish to be carried through town… followed by a procession of “wailing widows” and a brass band. 😂🌧️🐟🎺

The Furlads team might be enjoying a well-earned Bank Holiday break, but apparently the gaffer still can’t resist standing outside in the rain. 😂

Hope all of our customers, friends and followers are having a brilliant Bank Holiday weekend — whatever weird and wonderful things you’ve found yourselves doing!

GCSE RESULTS DAY 🎓

To everyone getting their results today — remember this:

Your results don’t decide where you’ll end up in life. Your attitude and work ethic do.

Whether you smashed it, didn’t get what you hoped for, or you’re not quite sure what comes next — today is only the starting point.

Think about where you want to be, then work backwards and figure out the route to get there.

There’s nearly always another route. 👊

Qualifications can open doors, but hard work, attitude, reliability and the willingness to learn will take you a very long way.

Congratulations to everyone getting their results today — whatever is written on that piece of paper, what you do next matters far more. 💪🎓

🌿 A LITTLE FURLADS DOWNTIME… 🌿

It’s been a seriously busy few weeks for the Furlads team — plenty of early starts, long days and some brilliant projects completed. 💪🟡⚫

So we’re taking a few days out to switch off, recharge and enjoy some proper time with our families. ❤️

We’ll be back and ready to go again on Thursday 20th August, when we’ll start working through any messages, enquiries and quote requests we’ve received while we’ve been away.

A massive thank you to all of our customers for keeping us so busy and for continuing to support a local business. It genuinely means a lot to us.

For now… tools down, family time on. 😎☀️

🌿 Letting the grandkids run wild… without the jungle! 🌿

A cracking transformation completed in Market Drayton 🙌

The aim was simple — turn this overgrown garden into a safe, tidy and low-maintenance space where the grandkids have plenty of room to play, without the garden itself running wild too! 😂

We completely cleared the space before installing:

🌱 A fresh artificial lawn with plenty of room for playing
🤍 Cotswold stone for a bright, clean, low-maintenance finish
🪨 Large Indian stone stepping stones creating a practical pathway through the garden

From an overgrown jungle to a garden the whole family can actually use and enjoy. 👌

✨ Another Porcelain Patio Completed in Newport! ✨

We’ve just wrapped up this cracking porcelain project in Newport, and what a transformation! 👌

The light porcelain paired with the darker block edging works brilliantly — giving the garden a really clean, modern finish while keeping plenty of character.

A big thank you to Stone-For-Less Ltd for supplying the amazing porcelain and blocks. Quality materials make all the difference, and these have come up beautifully. 🙌
