We were called out this week for a total loss of heating and hot water. While it seemed like a plumbing issue, the real danger was a loose connection at the immersion heater causing the neutral cable to overheat and completely melt.

While it was an easy fix for us to regain heating and hot water for our customer, if your water stops heating or you notice a "fishy" burning smell, it’s often an electrical fault. Don't leave it to chance! 🚫
