In particular I love fixing the many beautifully made older boilers out there that so many firms won't repair, saying 'too old, needs replacing'. You don't need to buy that line about 'spares not available',
I can usually get them. In addition it seems a wicked ecological waste to throw away a boiler simply because it is 25 years old. I see many in as good condition as when they were five years old and with plenty of life still in them, and some are surprisingly fuel efficient when you actually check the figures.
