Give Your Trees & Shrubs a Seasonal Boost!
Now is a critical time of year to prepare your trees and shrubs for the months ahead. Healthy plants are much better equipped to handle the higher temperatures and weather extremes that summer can bring.
Remove any visibly dead, broken, or hanging branches that could fall during bad weather
Keep an eye out for diseases and pests like mites, scale, and caterpillars, and take action if they reach damaging levels
Support overall plant health with proper fertilisation, irrigation, and mulching
As the weather becomes warmer and drier, remember to water thoroughly at the root zone (not the trunk), adjusting for plant species and recent rainfall. A little attention now can make a big difference all summer long!

Root Invigoration in Action!
Here's Tom, carrying out a root invigoration treatment on this beautiful mature tree. Over time, soil around a tree can become compacted, limiting oxygen, water, and nutrient movement.
Using specialised air tools, he gently breaks up the compacted ground around the base of the tree to improve soil structure and encourage healthy fine‑root growth. This process boosts microbial activity, increases nutrient uptake, and helps support the long‑term vitality of the tree.
A healthier root system = a healthier, stronger tree for years to come! 🌿💚

Bartlett proud to support the Free Trees Event with Richmond and Wandsworth Councils

Last month, Craig Ruddick, Arboricultural Manager and Dafydd Smith, Tree Planting Officer serving Richmond and Wandsworth Councils organised events at Kneller Gardens and Pools on the Park.

The free tree event was a great success, with local residents receiving trees including Scots Pine, Noble Fir, English Oak, Silver Birch and Hawthorn.

The trees looked excellent and were very well received by attendees. The Hawthorns were just starting to bud, bringing a splash of green alongside the Pines and Firs.

Bartlett supplied 100 of each tree species:
• Scots Pine
• Noble Fir
• English Oak
• Silver Birch
• Hawthorn

Dafydd commented: “Thank you to you and the team for arranging and supplying the trees, and especially for making last-minute changes so that the event could go ahead. We could not do this without your support.”
