Customer in Orpington noticed the ground next to her house was disappearing slowly. Called us to investigate because it was in an area were an ACO is and a downpipe runs into the ground. After lifting the ACO cover we could see it looked to run into a trap/gully.

We started lifting some slabs to see what was going on and found there was an old block gully that was buried under the slabs. This meant the rain water from the ACO's and downpipe was overflowing the blocked gully and washing away the ground under the slabs.

We continued to excavate the washed out ground to make sure it had not cause damage to the foundations (an internal crack in the wall had started to show).

Found the water to be washing out the ground and running under the ring beam. A structural engineer was called to check the building and foundations.

After the engineer had written a report we did the repairs and reinstated. Diverted drainage, replaced existing ACO's and made good. Unblocked and flushed through the existing drainage and made sure all the drainage was running fine and customer was happy. 👊

The water is starting to come back in the Tunbridge Wells area, but with the boil notice the ladies at Tunbridge Wells Grooming Centre limited are not taking any risks with their dogs/customers. They are still brining big 25l cans of water into work with them and doing extra runs with water.

We at ProFlow Drains managed to get back there this evening to top up the last of their storage containers.

These ladies have gone above and beyond to keep the shop topped up with clean water. 🐩

Callout to investigate why utility company were unable to pull a drawcord through a BT duct. After conducting a CCTV survey we found that the duct has been crushed and filled with debris/mud. We then used a sonde and locator to pin pointed the location and depth of the problem, and sent in a full report and recommendation 👊

We had a call from a customer in Brenchley that had been contacting the council for over a year about blocked road gullies that overflow and run down their drive. After the council confirmed dates for the work they then cancelled and pushed the date back until Feb next year.

The customer tried to clear the drain of silt build up from years of no maintenance from the council, but got their drain rods stuck.

We arrived and managed to free their drain rods from the root ball and then used a specialist root cutting nozzle to cut and remove a large amount of roots from the drain line.

Happy to say the drain is now running fine. It will be interesting to see what the council do about repairing the problem.
