Hope your having a fantastic week! Just one more day until Friday… and for us, just one more sleep until we’re off on our holidays! ☀️😎 We absolutely can’t wait.

We’ve been that rushed off our feet lately that we’ve been a little slow in showcasing some of our recent moves. One of those was for Neil and his wife, who trusted us with a full two-day packing and removal service from Middleton-by-Wirksworth to Wirksworth.

Moving from one 3-bedroom home to another, our team carefully wrapped, packed and boxed all their possessions. Furniture was protected with specialist padded covers and thick removal blankets to provide extra protection during transit. Every item was meticulously loaded, securely tied off, and transported with the utmost care.

Once at their new home, the team even dismantled and rebuilt the double bed, ensuring everything was ready for their very first night’s stay. 🛏️🏠

Providing excellent service and delivering stress-free moves is what we’re all about!

📅 The summer moving season is now well and truly here. We’re currently fully booked until 7th July, and the final two weeks of July are already filling up nicely.

Remember, Thursdays and Fridays are always our most popular moving days, especially for solicitor-led chain moves. If those days are a must for your move, we’d highly recommend securing your slot sooner rather than later.

🚚💨 The summer moving season is here! ☀️📦

How is everyone? hope your start the week is off to a great start. We’ve started off steady.

So far this week we’ve successfully assisted two fantastic clients:

🛋️Suzanne – Kilburn to Swanwick
🏡 Sue – Matlock to Matlock

Both moves involved 2 and 3-bedroom homes, including the dismantling and reassembly of beds and wardrobes, ensuring everything was moved professionally, safely and set up ready for their next chapter.

With multiple vans out and the fleet in action, the TTR team have been once again delivering great service, along with myself flat-out meeting more wonderful potential clients

🏡 HOW IS THIS STILL THE UK HOUSE BUYING SYSTEM? 🏡

Hi all, we hope you’ve all had a good start to your week. Myself and Louisa have not long been sat chatting about the UK home moving process and we are seeing some steady increases in delays and fail through moves with just this week one of our clients have found themselves back to square one after someone in the chain pulled out unexpectedly.

No warning.
No explanation.
Months of planning, stress, surveys, solicitor fees, mortgage applications and preparation… only for everything to collapse overnight.

As a removals company, we see the emotional and financial impact this has on people all the time.

The average house move can now take 5–6 months from offer accepted to completion, with buyers, sellers, estate agents, solicitors and removal companies all investing huge amounts of time and money into the process. Yet at almost any point before exchange, someone can simply walk away with little or no consequence.

Louisa and I feel quite strongly about this.

The UK moving process is often chaotic, stressful and uncertain. Despite all the technology and progress we’ve made, buying and selling a home can still feel like a gamble.

When chains collapse, the knock-on effects are huge:
❌ Buyers lose money
❌ Sellers lose money
❌ Families put plans on hold
❌ Removal dates get cancelled
❌ Entire chains can fall apart

Last year, Parliament discussed reforms to the home-buying process, and many European countries already operate systems where buyers and sellers become legally committed much earlier, with financial penalties for pulling out without good reason.

Should the UK adopt something similar?

Should buyers and sellers be committed earlier in the process?

Or should people always have the freedom to walk away right up until exchange?

Recent figures say around 1 in 4 agreed house sales fail to complete in the UK.

So our answer is YES – we believe there should be greater commitment earlier on to reduce the stress, uncertainty and financial loss that so many people experience.

🚚 Another day of great moves completed… although the weather had other ideas! 🌦️😅

From sunshine to sudden downpours, our teams were diving for cover in homes and vans throughout the day, but we didn’t let the rain dampen our spirit and most importantly, every possession delivered completely dry! ☔📦

With Hannah’s move from a 2-bedroom home in Loughborough to her new 3-bedroom home in Chesterfield. With multiple vans and a 5-man crew consisting of myself, Kev, Owen, Alan & Nathan, we had everything loaded, transported and unloaded smoothly. No dismantling or reassembly required on this one, and the endless supply of brews certainly helped keep us going! ☕😊

Next up was Karen’s relocation from a 3-bedroom property in Chesterfield to Walton. This move included loft contents, shed contents, planters, and a double storage bed which required dismantling and reassembly. Once again, the biscuits and drinks were very much appreciated by the team! 🍪☕

Meanwhile, on the same day as Karen’s move, we had Nathan, Alan and Matt wgo were busy completing a packing and moving service for the lovely Mrs Shiels, relocating from Darley Dale to St Elphin’s. Having done a fantastic job of decluttering beforehand, only selected items required packing, mainly ornaments and kitchen contents. One van, one happy client, and another successful move completed. 📦🏡

A huge thank you to all our clients for their kindness, hospitality and patience with the unpredictable weather today.

Now it’s time to recharge and do it all again with an out-of-storage move! 🚚💨

Hi everybody, hope you’re all well!

The weeks are flying by! It’s been a tad bit cooler over the last few days, and some of the team are more than happy about the change in temperature! 🌤️😅 and bet some of you are too!

So far this week its been all full packing and more excellent moves!

🚚 Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to over the last three days…

🏡 Stephen & Amy moved from their 3-bedroom home in Ripley to a lovely 4-bedroom property just 5 minutes round the corner. Our team carefully dismantled and reassembled a triple wardrobe, single bed, and double bed, ensuring everything was set up and ready to go in their new home. Where we even got some lovely cakes for our break 🍰

📦 On the very same day, our packing team was busy helping Victoria & Jack prepare for their move. With three team members on-site, packing up their 3 bed home, with every belonging expertly wrapped, packed, and boxed. Sofas and mattresses were protected with covers, while TVs, mirrors, pictures, and other delicate items were carefully packed to the high standards we pride ourselves on.

🚚 Move day for Victoria & Jack saw a full-scale operation with Three vans and Five crew members , myself, Owen, Nathan, Alan, and Craig. Relocating them moments away to their beautiful new 3-bedroom home. We dismantled and reassembled a double bed, safely moved an upright piano, and were very grateful for the steady supply of teas and coffees throughout the day! ☕😊

I even had time for one Video Survey whilst a move was in full swing and three Home Visits. Ilkeston, Chesterfield, Belper

👏 Three days, four great moves, plenty of teamwork, countless boxes moved, furniture dismantled and reassembled, and most importantly, more happy clients settled into their new homes.

🚚💛 What a packed week it’s been! Time to recharge and get ready for another busy one next week! 🚚💛

From bereavement clearances and storage moves to long-distance relocations, our fleet has been clocking up the miles this week! 😁

We kicked things off on Bank Holiday Monday with Caroline’s move so lets see the rest of the weeks highlights:

📦 A full two-bedroom bereavement clearance in Selston
🏡 A three-bedroom house move into storage in Darley Dale
🎣 A long-distance relocation from Matlock to Grimsby
🔨 Furniture dismantling and reassembly for multiple customers
🚚 Deliveries to Sheffield Auction House
🏠 Selected item relocations to a lovely home in Riber

A special mention to Nick, whose late father’s home is currently being sold. We carried out a respectful house clearance, ensuring treasured sentimental items were retained while the remaining contents were responsibly disposed of and recycled through licensed waste facilities.

Meanwhile, our storage team carefully packed and stacked an entire three-bedroom home into two storage units, maximising every inch of space while renovations are completed.

None of this would be possible without our fantastic clients who continue to trust us with their homes and belongings. 🙌

Now it’s time to recharge for the weekend before we do it all again next week! 💪
