NEW BUILD DWELLING
:
A sneak peek of one of our latest design projects; a garage conversion into beautiful new dwelling located in the Nottinghamshire greenbelt.

The contemporary design in a semi-rural setting balances modern living with context, scale, materiality and form.

Designed to be private on the approach with open glazing and views to the rear and side over adjacent farmland.

The first floor is designed to mimic a timber barn, visible from the nearest roadside, reflecting the agricultural buildings seen nearby in the elevated landscape.

The first floor is offset & angled at 8 degrees to maximise views and the trajectory of the sun for increased natural light inside.

REMODEL & EXTENSION
This derelict 1960's bungalow property is set on in a large plot, overlooking over the Derwent Valley (and the World Heritage Site corridor).
The frontage is designed to read as a traditional cottage integrating seamlessly with the established vernacular and street-scene. The cascading side of the property transitions into a contemporary split-level family home at the rear; maximising on the panoramic views and south-west aspect solar gains! The zinc-clad extension and canopies zig-zag downwards to emphasise the sloped site.
