⛺️ Are you heading to camp with your horse this year? Or maybe you are attending a stay away show? Make sure to take environmental enrichment activities to help keep your horse happy.

The Likit Snak-a-Ball is a great option when staying away from home, especially for horses and ponies on restricted diets as it can keep them busy whilst others are being fed/exercised etc. Simply fill with a portion of our tasty low sugar Likit Snaks or any small pelleted feed to encourage your horse to push and nuzzle the ball, promoting movement, natural foraging behaviours and stretching from nose to tail. 🐴

When you are heading to a stay away competition, camp or even a holiday with your horse don’t forget to take their favourite environmental enrichment activity with them. ⛺️

Are you heading to a stay away show or camp with your horse this year? Don’t forget to pack your horse’s favourite enrichment activity. 🏕️

Supporting your horse’s physical and mental needs doesn’t stop at home, when you visit stay away events where your horse may be stabled in an unusual environment or away from their friends can lead to boredom, anxiety, and stress. Taking your horse’s favourite stable toy with them when you are away can help to reduce the likelihood of undesirable behaviours by stimulating their natural foraging behaviours. 🐴

Is your horse unsure about their Likit? Introducing your Likit toys to your horse properly can help to give your horse the confidence to play and explore. Here are some easy ways to help your horse understand their Likit:

🌈 Select a challenge level (Easy to Difficult) that matches your horse’s personality and experience. Beginners or quiet horses should avoid difficult toys initially to build confidence. Try our website’s handy tool to find the ideal toy for your horse.

🐴 Introduce the toy by hand so your horse can safely sniff and explore it. If they are hesitant to lick, gently rub the treat on their muzzle to provide a taste. Since horses have individual flavor preferences, try different licks from our range to find their favorite.

🌟 After your horse gains confidence, hang the toy away from walls to prevent pinning and biting, this can help extend how long the lick lasts. Initially, hold the toy to show them the lick in this new position. Gradually step away until they are comfortable using it independently. Now, they can enjoy their lick whenever they choose.

All of our toys are rated either ‘Easy’, ‘Medium’ or ‘Difficult’ on the Likit Challenge system to help you to choose the best level of toy for your horse’s personality and experience.
Our toys rated as ‘Difficult’ include:

✨ Likit Boredom Breaker, this toy features a Likit Holder on the upper section and a large ball on the lower section. There is a gap on each side of the ball to insert Little Likits for an even harder challenge.

✨ Likit Boredom Buster, our only toy to spin in multiple directions, use with two Little Likits or for our hardest challenge yet try this toy with just one refill. Can also be attached to the bottom of the Likit Holder for an instant upgrade.
