🚧 Current Project Update 🚧
Major groundwork progress on this new build project with the raft foundation installation now well underway.
Works completed include:
✅ Water supply upgrade
✅ Drainage installation
✅ Shuttering preparation
✅ Groundworks ready for concrete pour
This project consists of two raft foundation areas:
📐 Main raft – 133m²
📐 Secondary raft – 20m²
A lot of planning and preparation goes into getting the foundations right, ensuring a solid base for everything that follows. Looking forward to the next stage and seeing this project continue to take shape.

Accessibility & Damp Repair Project
A recent project focused on improving both the condition and accessibility of this property.
Works included damp repairs to the ground floor bathroom and adjoining wall, restoring the affected areas and preventing further issues. We also widened the existing doorway and installed a sliding door to provide easier access for a client with mobility challenges.
Small changes can make a huge difference to day-to-day living, and we’re proud to have delivered a practical solution that improves both comfort and independence.

Kitchen Renovation Transformation
This project involved much more than just fitting a new kitchen.
We started by removing an internal wall and installing a structural steel beam to create a larger, open-plan living space. Once the structural works were complete, we carried out a full kitchen rewire to suit the new layout and future kitchen design, followed by replastering throughout to create a clean finish ready for installation.
The kitchen was then fitted by a family friend of the client, bringing the whole vision together and creating a bright, modern space perfect for everyday living.
A great example of how careful planning, structural alterations, and electrical upgrades can completely transform a home.

Kitchen Refit Complete

From an empty shell to a sleek, modern kitchen designed for everyday living.

This project included new cabinetry, worktops, large-format Calacatta-effect floor tiles, integrated appliances, and feature lighting to create a bright and contemporary space. The combination of the grey units, marble-effect finishes, and carefully positioned lighting brings the whole room together beautifully.

A clean, modern design with plenty of storage, workspace, and a premium finish throughout.

Living Room Floor Tiling Making a Feature of the Floor

This living room wasn’t your standard square room, with multiple angles, large openings and plenty of cuts required to keep everything flowing correctly. Jobs like this take careful planning and attention to detail to ensure the layout works from every angle.

For this project, large-format Turano Calacatta porcelain tiles were installed throughout the space, creating a bright, modern finish that complements the open-plan layout perfectly. The marble-effect pattern and clean lines help maximise the feeling of space while adding a touch of luxury.

Sometimes the most challenging layouts produce the best results, and this floor is a great example of that. The extra time spent setting out and planning has paid off with a finish that looks clean, balanced and flows beautifully through the room.

A lot of cutting, a lot of measuring, but definitely worth it in the end.

Consumer Unit Upgrade –Modern Protection Throughout the Property

This property had a large number of existing circuits, meaning a standard single consumer unit wasn’t suitable. To ensure the installation remained safe, compliant and easy to manage, we installed two new consumer units along with upgraded protection devices throughout.

Works carried out included:

- Removal of the existing fuse board arrangement
- Installation of two new consumer units
- Reorganisation and identification of all existing circuits
- Installation of modern RCBO protection for improved fault detection
- Installation of Type 2 Surge Protection Devices (SPD) to help protect sensitive electrical equipment from voltage surges
- Full testing, inspection and certification of the installation
- Improved safety, reliability and future capacity

With more electronics and smart devices in homes than ever before, surge protection is becoming an important part of modern electrical installations. Combined with RCBO protection, this setup provides a much higher level of protection than older fuse board systems.

A tidy upgrade that brings the installation up to modern standards and provides peace of mind for years to come.

Final stage of the Kirby Muxloe refurbishment project completed the loft conversion

Definitely one of the more challenging parts of the build due to the shape of the roof, restricted head height, tight storage spaces and carrying materials through three floors of the property 😅

The client had previously had someone attempt parts of the loft, but unfortunately the insulation and boarding hadn’t been done correctly, so a lot of the space had to be stripped back and redone properly before moving forward.

Works carried out included:

- Insulating the roof correctly including Installation of insulated celotex boards
- Stud work and bespoke storage cupboard formation
- Shelving installation within eaves storage areas
- Full boarding and plaster skim throughout
- First fix plumbing prep for new en-suite (suite fitted later by external contractor)
- First & second fix electrics throughout
- Bathroom wiring for electric shower, extractor fan, spotlights & electric mirror
- Installation of client supplied light fittings in the main room
- Second fix carpentry including skirting & architraves
- Stair opening prepared and lined ready for staircase installation at a later date
- Radiator installation

Despite the awkward access and tight working conditions, the transformation speaks for itself

This space went from a neglected roof void with poorly completed previous work into a practical new master bedroom with plenty of hidden storage and natural light.

First floor progress on the Kirby Muxloe refurbishment project

This phase of the build focused on transforming the new upper floor space into two additional bedrooms and a new bathroom as part of the extension and full property reconfiguration.

Access into the new section was created by knocking through from the original stair window area of the existing house, connecting the old and new parts of the property together.

Our works on this stage included:

-Stud partitioning to form the new rooms
- Full plastering and boarding works
- Rewire and first fix electrics throughout
- Pipework installation ready for the bathroom contractor
- Pre-boarding service walls ready for bathroom fit out
- New fire door installation due to the property now becoming a three-storey home

Everything now ready for client decoration and second fix woodwork before the final finishes go in

Big transformation from where this extension originally started after being left unfinished for years.

Loft conversion stage still to come as the final part of the project
