Reports suggest UK household energy bills could increase again by 13% from July 2026, with global events continuing to impact energy markets and prices closer to home. 🏡 ⚡

According to Ofgem, a household using a typical amount of gas and electricity could pay an additional £221 per year, bringing the average annual energy bill to around £1,862.

For many homeowners, energy costs have felt unpredictable for years. Even when prices ease, there’s often uncertainty around what the next increase could look like, making it difficult to plan long term. 🧾

Our team at IR Energy Ltd are seeing more households explore renewable energy solutions, not only for environmental reasons, but to reduce reliance on fluctuating energy prices and gain greater control over monthly costs.

Our team recently completed a tailored energy upgrade for our customer based in Monmouth, designed to bring greater independence, resilience and efficiency across the family home.

Living in a more remote location, one of the key priorities for the design team was reducing our customers reliance on the grid, especially during power cuts.

Installation included:
⚡ 9.66 kW Solar PV System
⚡ 20.7 kWh ESS Battery Storage
⚡ 12 kW Cosy Energy Air Source Heat Pump
⚡ 7kW EV Charger

🌍 Environmental impact:
Estimated annual CO₂ savings of 1,235 kg.

The outcome:
🟡 Increased solar self-consumption
🟡 Reduced reliance on grid electricity
🟡 Bespoke system design tailored to each property
