🏫 138m² EPDM Rubber Roof – Local School Project Completed

Another project successfully completed by the team at Raynes ✅

We recently completed a 138m² EPDM rubber roofing system on a local school, transforming the existing concrete roof with a complete upgrade.

🔨 Works included:
• Battened out over the existing concrete roof
• Installed new 18mm OSB boards
• Removed the existing dormer/skylights
• Reframed openings using 6x2 timbers
• Installed new windows
• New fascia and guttering
• Installed new 6-inch Code 4 leadwork
• Finished with a fully bonded EPDM rubber roofing system

A full roof transformation designed to provide a durable, watertight and long-lasting finish for the school.

We’re pleased to have recently completed tarmac works to the play area at Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Llwyncelyn. 👷🏻‍♂️

The works included:

🔹 50m of ACO drainage channels installed
🔹 Resetting all manhole covers and gully gratings to new levels
🔹 Tac-coat adhesive applied
🔹 New surface course overlay

A challenging job with very poor access, but our team worked hard to get it completed to a high standard in just a few days. 💪🏻👏🏻

🧱 Brick-Built Shed & New Flat Roof – Winifred Street, Merthyr

Another project completed by Raynes 🔨

We started from the ground up, building the new brick shed, before constructing and finishing the flat roof to give the customer a strong, practical and fully watertight building.

The roof build included:

• 5x2 joists for a solid roof structure
• 3” to nothing firring to create the correct fall for drainage
• 18mm OSB roof decking
• New PVC fascia & guttering
• Finished with an EPDM rubber membrane for a durable, watertight finish

A complete build from brickwork to roofing, finished off with attention to detail throughout. 💪

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Groundworker/Labourer to join our team.

Duties include:

* General groundworks and labouring
* Assisting with drainage, kerbing, paving, and foundations
* Site preparation and clean-up
* Loading and unloading materials
* Following health and safety procedures

Requirements:

* Previous groundworks or construction experience preferred
* Valid CSCS card (preferred/required if applicable)
* Full UK driving licence is an advantage
* Good work ethic, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
