This is a really disappointing post to write, but we feel it necessary people are aware of the risks when booking events and most importantly, weddings, at the Newcastle Assembly Rooms.
The company which owns The Assembly Rooms building, Frazier Hurts Ltd, has gone into administration owing nearly £250k to MyAbsolute.co.uk, the small local team which refurbished the building for them, the bank which mortgaged the building, Century Capital Partners Ltd, has gone into administration following ‘financial irregularities’, Chinawhite nightclub, also under the control of the same management team lost its licence due to serious venue mismanagement, and the company controlled by Claire Renton which runs events from the building, Newcastle Assembly Rooms Trading Ltd, owes Newcastle Flooring Company Ltd £20k for the carpeting and already has two other CCJ’s against them for not paying other local suppliers!
Perhaps not such an exciting future ahead, especially for the honest & hardworking clients & suppliers who keep getting conned by the Assembly Rooms management team! A stunning building being run into the ground by an incompetent and utterly dishonest management team.
They run up debts, pay themselves handsomely then flip onto a new management company, walking away from the financial impact on everybody else, we will continue pursuing via legal routes having already secured an independent arbitration, high court judgement and a legal charge on the building, but we feel obliged to forewarn the good people of Newcastle…
Future clients / suppliers… beware!
Note: a quick check on companies house, at the latest published accounts for Newcastle assembly rooms trading Ltd will independently confirm the financial links back to Frazier Hurts Ltd, James Spallone and Chinawhite.
