🔧 Day 1 on Another Full Rewire for CZ Developments Ltd 🔧

We’re back on site today starting a full rewire — and once again we’ve come across old vulcanised rubber (VIR) cables.

These cables were commonly installed decades ago, but over time the rubber insulation becomes:

⚠️ Brittle and cracked
⚠️ Prone to exposing live conductors
⚠️ A serious fire risk due to insulation breakdown and arcing
⚠️ Unsafe by modern standards (often no proper earth)

As the rubber perishes, it can crumble when touched — meaning even simple alterations can lead to faults, shocks, or overheating behind walls and ceilings.

⚡ Priority Safety Call-Out Completed ⚡

Today, part of the Office Electrix team attended a shop as a priority after it was identified that there was no reliable supply earth in place.

Due to the safety risks involved, we acted quickly to make the installation safe by installing a new TT earthing system. This ensured the premises were properly protected and compliant.

Thankfully, the weather held off ☔️ , allowing the work to be completed efficiently and without delay — a great result for both safety and service delivery.
