Car key shell upgrade done today for a Land Rover.
Anyone who has owned one of these will most likely of seen how badly the key deteriorates 😅
Well not to worry we offer a replacement like for like shell or the more robust upgraded version 🙌🏼

Ignition barrel replaced yesterday on a Renault Trafic van.
Another locksmith had attended a little while ago and “replaced” the ignition. Unfortunately for the customer that was a lie. The internals of the original barrel had been completely removed, so the not only did the mechanism for the steering lock get removed but also the key would pull out of the ignition with the engine still running 😅
The barrel fell apart in my hands as I was removing it.

As you can see a side by side comparison, the one removed was a full plastic case, with cable ties holding it back together.
I replaced with a full metal one and left with everything working as it should.. no more key falling out of the ignition 🤣

Look at that difference!
Full re-shell for an Iveco Daily, and I had this done within 20 minutes.
And this cost was around a third of what it would have cost for a new one.

Full re-shell for the new style BMW key done yesterday, also the button had broken off the circuit board so that was also replaced 😁
The only downside to this one was having to use the original scratched up key emblem. But regardless of that the customer now has a full working key again 😁🚗🔑

Interesting car key repair this morning.
Not only had the button come off the circuit board, but the actual contacts that are part of the circuit board had been completely ripped away.
I made 4 new contacts on the board and then refit a new button as well as a new key shell and the customer now has a full working key and saved over half the cost of getting a new key 😁🚗🔑

To the rescue again 🙌🏼 Customer locked the keys inside the van.
No worries at all, had it open in no time 😁🚗🔑

Chubb Safe opened today after customer had lost the key.
No sledgehammers, angle grinders or explosives needed 🔨🧨😝

Been a really busy week with car key repairs, especially these Vauxhall keys. Also saved a lot of customers a nice chunk of money as as a repair is less than a quarter of the cost of a new key 🙌🏼

Two keys sorted for a Vauxhall insignia.
First key was a full Re-shell due to it being broken and the second was a complete new spare key 🚗🔑 another happy customer 😁
