🚪 1930s Original Front Door Restoration – Another One Saved!

Restoring original timber doors is always more rewarding than replacing them.

This beautiful 1930s front door had years of failing paint, cracks and weather damage. We carefully stripped back the old coatings, carried out extensive preparation and repairs, filled defects, sanded the timber smooth and finished it with a premium exterior paint system to give it a durable, long-lasting finish while preserving its original character.

For this project we used: 🎨 Fleetwood Pure Grip Primer as the high-adhesion primer. 🎨 Dulux Trade Weathershield Flexible Undercoat followed by Dulux Trade Weathershield Gloss for maximum durability and weather protection.

The result is a stunning transformation that will protect the timber for years to come while enhancing the property's kerb appeal.

If your original front door is looking tired, don't replace it—restore it.

Another bathroom ceiling brought back to life. 👌

This ceiling was suffering from peeling paint, mould staining and years of steam damage.

Our process included: ✔️ Removing all loose and failed coatings ✔️ Treating mould contamination ✔️ Filling and preparing the surface ✔️ Sealing where required ✔️ Applying Dulux Trade Durable Kitchen & Bathroom Eggshell for a hard-wearing, moisture-resistant finish.

The transformation speaks for itself. Preparation is everything, and using the right trade products ensures a finish that's built to last.

🛡️ Moisture & steam resistance: 10/10

🍄 Mould resistance: 9/10 (provided the underlying cause of damp is addressed)

🎨 Opacity/coverage: 9/10

💪 Durability & scrub resistance: 10/10

✨ Finish/appearance: 9.5/10

👨‍🔧 Application: 9/10 – applies well but, as with most eggshells, benefits from good technique to maintain an even sheen.

Another exciting project starts today in Thorpe Thewles.

Our client has chosen to go for a full colour drench throughout the space using Little Greene Intelligent Matt in No. 77 – Portland Stone.

Colour drenching creates a seamless, sophisticated finish by taking the same colour across the walls, ceiling and woodwork, giving the room a beautifully calm and cohesive feel.
