We are currently looking for someone to come and help us out in our factory part time. Preferably a student studying Joinery or Construction Skills to do paid work on their days off college and learn some “Hands On” Skills.

Relatively simple job removing UPVC/Composite Door and replacing it with a Timber Feature Door, Bespoke Glass Design, Heritage Ironmongery & finished in F&B “Downpipe” 👌
Until you find out everything is clagged on with Silicone and they used 3x1 Softwood for a Lintel 🙈

Andy Dunbar Joinery is looking to take on a new apprentice Bench Hand Joiner.

About this Apprenticeship:

- The role is predominantly workshop based, some site work involved
- Working in an established family business working alongside experienced team members
- Assisting with the manufacture & Installation of Bespoke Joinery Items which include Windows Doors etc
- Working to Health & Safety Regulations & Company Guidelines
- You will be trained to use a wide range of joinery hand tools, portable machinery (drills, sanders, routers), assemble & finish joinery items such as doors, windows and bespoke items, all of which involves manual handling.
- You will also be trained in the use of fixed woodworking machinery

Desired skills:

- Real passion to work within the industry

Personal qualities:

- Reliable
- Punctual
- Disciplined attitude to training/learning/carrying out instructions
- Ambitious to become a fully qualified carpenter/joiner
- We are looking for a candidate who is looking for a long-term position
