This vaillant was, in the customers words, making lots of noise and then not working.

We found that the pump had seized causing shaft on the pump to break. This caused the boiler to overheat.

New pump supplied and fitted, boiler back working and heating the home again.

Ideal logic with noisy ignition?
Here is a great example of a blocked burner that can cause this issue.
The dirt and debris collect in an area that cannot be accessed, replacement is the only option.

Curse of the plasterer 😣
This chap had removed the room stat and programmer to replaster, but had then forgotten how to wire it back in so the central heating wouldnt work 🫨
Simple fix for those in the know, rewired and back up running again 🫡

Sunday callout for a baxi duotec not working. Unfortunately this had not been serviced for a considerable time which had allowed this fault to develop. Strip service and parts ordered to get it up and running again.
