It was a busy one on Saturday at Pembrokeshire Natural Burial Ground cutting the paths across the meadow and tidying the entrance ready for the summer (when it arrives).

You always see interesting wildlife down here. I came across this slow worm and made sure it was safely placed in the long grass away from any mowing.

Spent an afternoon down at Pembrokeshire natural burial ground mowing the reeds back, always a nice place to work with such nice views and managed to catch a rainbow.

On the 10th and 11th of February we will be planting just over an acre of new woodland which will become part of the permissive walk at the natural burial ground.

We are inviting people to join us in creating this new area of woodland. This may be with the memory of a loved one in mind because it is a place of remembrance. Or it may be that you love nature and want to help us create this new woodland area for wildlife and to visit to get back to nature.

We are doggy friendly and it will be a family-friendly event. We will have some fun activities for nature lovers and refreshments for anyone who wants to pop by to join us. This is a free event and all are welcome. You can find more about our tree planting event at the links below:
