Only essential work can take place in people’s homes during lockdown.

This includes:

🔹 Urgent maintenance, repairs or installations
🔹 Delivering essential goods
🔹 Supporting a home move

Cleaners must only enter the home of a person who is unable to clean for themselves.

Scottish Government has advised tradespeople to only enter a house in a Tier 4 area for essential work, ie:
• safety checks, repairs, maintenance and installations
• to prevent a health and safety threat
• delivery, installation and repair of key appliances

Stay 2m apart from residents, wear a face covering and follow hygiene procedures.

Scottish government delay smoke alarm legislation until 2022

MSPs will be asked to postpone new laws that require all homes have interlinked smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.
