EIC (Electrical installation certificate)

An EIC must be issued for all new electrical installations. It may also be required for an alteration or addition to the installation, depending upon the extent of work or whether a new circuit has been installed. Where an addition is carried out or an alteration but does not include a new circuit, a minor electrical installation works certificate (MEIWC) may be used.

Christmas lights brighten up homes across the UK but can be an electrical safety risk. One in twelve people confess to leaving their Christmas lights on overnight, potentially endangering their households as lights can overheat and create a fire hazard. Give the lights a break - switch them off when you're not there to enjoy them.

Don’t overload sockets and try to avoid the use of extension leads or adaptors – it’s easy to trip if you’re a bit too merry! If you have any electrical faults over the christmas period please give us a call, Phase 4 Electrical in Minehead, Somerset. 01643 705842
