Saturday’s first job of the day saw us clearing heavily blocked gutters and removing a large build-up of debris from the roof valleys above the apex window. 🍂

This property had gutter guards fitted, which meant extra time was needed to remove and reinstall them before we could carry out a proper clean. They’re not my favourite system to work with, but if that’s what the customer wants, that’s what we’ll work with. 👍

Access to the roof valleys was also awkward due to the layout of the building, but with the right equipment and safe working methods, we got the job completed efficiently and left everything clear and flowing as it should be. ✅

🏡 Gold Package Exterior Clean Completed in Gwernaffield, Mold 🏡

Yesterday we completed a full Gold Package exterior clean for a customer in Gwernaffield, Mold.

This service included:

✅ Full gutter clearance
✅ Fascia and soffit cleaning
✅ Gutter exterior cleaning
✅ Window cleaning

The UPVC had only been fitted around 2–3 years ago, so this wasn’t the dirtiest property we’ve worked on. However, a build-up of dirt, algae and general weathering had started to take away that fresh appearance.

After a thorough clean, the fascias, soffits, gutters and windows were left looking bright, clean and well-maintained once again.

🍂 GUTTER CLEARANCE COMPLETE 🍂

A nice little gutter clean completed recently in Mynydd Isa, Mold. 🏡

The gutters were holding plenty of moss, leaves and debris which, if left unchecked, can lead to overflowing gutters and potential water damage.

We carried out a full gutter clearance, removing all build-up and ensuring the system was flowing freely again. ✅

🏠 Roof Valley Restoration Project Completed 🏠

This job started as a routine gutter clean and valley clearance, but once we got up on the roof it quickly became apparent there was a much bigger issue hidden from view.

The roof valleys were heavily blocked with years of built-up debris, vegetation and deteriorating mortar. While the original plan was simply to clear the gutters and valleys, we discussed the findings with the customer and provided flexible options to restore the roof drainage system properly.

After approval, we arranged materials, equipment and access ready to begin. Unfortunately, the recent heatwave meant it wasn’t safe to be carrying out roof works, so the project had to be postponed. The following week brought rain instead, but with some extra hours put in we successfully completed the works within 3 days.

✅ Roof valleys fully cleared

✅ Years of debris and vegetation removed

✅ Failed mortar removed

✅ Valley edges re-pointed and repaired

✅ Gutters cleared and checked

✅ Roof drainage system restored

This is a great example of why regular roof and gutter inspections are important. Problems like these are often impossible to spot from ground level until they begin causing more serious issues.

🔨 Small Roof Repair – Big Difference! 🔨

A few weeks ago, whilst carrying out repairs on a neighbouring property, the homeowner came over and asked if we could take a look at their roof after noticing a couple of tiles had slipped out of place.

After a quick inspection, we confirmed that several tiles had indeed moved, leaving parts of the roof exposed to the elements. The customer explained that the issue had been there for quite some time and that they had struggled to find someone willing to carry out what many would consider a small repair.

With our diary packed full of quotations and ongoing projects, we managed to fit the job in today and get everything put right before the problem turned into something much more costly.

The slipped tiles were carefully reinstated and secured back into position, restoring the roof’s weather protection and helping prevent further water ingress into the property.

It’s easy to overlook a couple of slipped tiles, but even a small defect can allow water to enter the roof structure and cause significant damage over time.
