🏆 Award Winning Fireproofing Project – University of Gloucestershire

Last year Sprayed Concrete Solutions successfully delivered specialist ceiling fireproofing works at the University of Gloucestershire, applying Fosroc Renderoc DS to over 1,200m² of soffit and ceiling surfaces in partnership with Henley Restoration.

Completed within a live refurbishment environment, the project achieved a dense, high performance and fully compliant fire resistant finish using our precise dry spray application method.

We are proud that this scheme has since been recognised at the CRA awards as the SCA Project of the Year 2025, highlighting the quality, skill and collaboration behind its delivery.

🏗️ Project Highlight: Mordiford Bridge

Reinforcement works have been successfully completed at Mordiford Bridge, delivering essential structural strengthening to support the long-term integrity and service life of this important infrastructure asset.

The scope of works included the installation of drill and resin anchored steel tie bars, providing secure structural connection and improved load distribution within the existing bridge elements.

To further enhance reinforcement capacity, two layers of A393 mesh were fixed in position, forming a robust framework ahead of concrete application.

Sprayed concrete was applied to a thickness of 200mm, incorporating Sika WTP waterproof additive to improve durability and provide enhanced protection against water ingress in this demanding environment.

A technically driven solution focused on resilience, performance, and long-term asset protection.

🚆 Project Highlight: Leigh-on-Sea Train Station

Reinforcement works have now commenced to the platform liner walls at Leigh-on-Sea Train Station, delivering essential structural strengthening and long-term protection within this busy rail environment.
These works are being carried out using DS dry sprayed concrete, a proven solution for high-performance repair and reinforcement where durability and resilience are critical.

The dry spray application method allows for precise placement, strong adhesion, and efficient build-up, ensuring the platform walls are restored to a robust standard. Each section is being completed with a professional float finish, providing a clean, uniform surface ready to withstand the demands of ongoing service conditions.

A key project focused on safety, longevity, and quality delivery. 🏗️💪

🎉 Happy Retirement, Carole! 🎉

After 25 incredible years working alongside David, the time has come for Carole to begin a very well-earned retirement and it won’t be the same without her 🤍

Carole’s hard work, loyalty, and dedication over the years have been second to none. She knows the ins and outs of absolutely everything, and if there was ever a question, chances are Carole already had the answer (or had solved it before anyone else knew there was a problem!).

Her knowledge, commitment, and steady presence have been a huge part of who we are today, and she will be missed more than words can say both professionally and personally.
