At last the greed of oil companies is being exposed, they are even overcharging their regular customers when supplying heating oil. This has been happening on a daily basis for decades regardless of the Russia/Ukraine conflict or the American/Isralei/Iran war or any other thing that might genuinely affect prices, but these rapid and excessive price rises recently are shameful.

Rural homes must be given a choice about how they decarbonise their home heating. Renewable liquid fuels, such as HVO, offer those living off grid that choice. I’m calling on the Chancellor to on renewable liquid fuels so that off grid residents can decarbonise affordably.

The Chancellor is being urged to show he is on the side of off-grid homes and businesses.

He's being asked to equalise the duty on renewable liquid fuels with that of kerosene when used for home heating in his upcoming Autumn Statement (22 Nov) to align with the equal treatment of the fuels when used in transportation.

We're calling on the Chancellor to show he is on the side of off-grid homes and businesses in his upcoming Autumn Statement (22 Nov).

We've written to him asking him to equalise the duty on renewable liquid fuels with that of kerosene when used for home heating to align with the equal treatment of the fuels when used in
transportation.
