I little remedial work on a fairly new property this morning.

The home owner complained that they were getting damp near the skirting boards right at the bottom on the french doors.

Upon inspection of the cavity trays they were all full of debris from the building phase of the house.

This is a very common problem on new build houses as they are built with concrete bricks which soak up water like a sponge.

On to the final stages of this extension at South Broomhill.

The wide angle photos make this look bigger than it is but it’s still quite and impressive size. This has been an incredibly challenging project. From finding live cables in the footprint of the foundations to the huge steel for the 7 metre breakthrough. Everything has taken longer than anticipated!

But with clear communication between myself and the customer keeping everyone on the same page and up to date we’ve managed to get to this stage. Just the plasterers to finish off and a kitchen and flooring to be fitted by third parties and this one should be finished.

Also note: a tidy site is a safe site 😉

Scaffold down on this extension at South Broomhill. Windows and doors delivered this week then on to the inside work and a full width breakthrough.

All work so far done in house by ATB with some drawings also being created to make sure everyone is on the same page !
