Roof re boarded
Breathable membrane fitted
Upvc fascia’s and soffits done with new boards fitted to gable
Flat roofs renewed using self adhesive underlay and charcoal mineral cap sheet
Rot works
Dry verge
Continuous eaves vent system
New gutters and downpipes
Vented ridge
Roof tiled with Marley major grey tiles

The first project of the year has been challenging, this 19th century sandstone building had a number of sub standard repairs over the years and due to that the roof timbers had badly failed along with all the window sills .

The client wanted to keep as many of the original timber mouldings as possible to retain the character of the house ,, we replaced a badly failed internal gutter and changed lead details around windows .

The roof was slated using la luz 400x250mm Spanish slate with copper nails and Aidan my apprentice even spent some time to install some designs on the roof all individually hand cut .

Just some finishing touches to be done.
