A quick peek at this gorgeous headboard upholstered in Linwood Helter Skelter. This is so my thing. Bin the boring, ubiquitous grey and replace with WOW!
Life is more interesting with colour.

Wow is the only descriptive for these set of six dining chairs.
Typical peeling brown bonded ‘leather’. No support at all in the backs save for sheet of polycotton fabric.
The backs are now webbed, a couple of springs had come loose, extra padding in the seats back to better than new condition.
And the best bit, reupholstered in my personal favourite, Cristina Marrone Fabrics Nuovo kingfisher and the simply stunning patterned velvet Maestro on the backs. An absolute showstopper and a perfect centrepiece to the dining room.

It is risen!
Easter is a perfect time to demonstrate reupholstery.
This rocking chair has been in my customer’s family for generations but it had a lot wrong with it. Pirelli webbing had completely dried out and no protection for the back padding. The original covers were still attached.
All of that was replaced, a new seat cushion makes this rocker much more comfortable. It’s now in fabulous condition, resurrected you might say.

A nice symmetry happened this week. I completed jobs for two of my neighbours.
A bay window seat in Cristina Marrone Fabrics Elba russet and a vintage slipper chair in beautiful Nuovo kingfisher. I have a chair upholstered in the same fabric, so we’re now chair twins. 🙌
Unfortunately, my latest growing old issue is a shoulder strain, so I’m frustratingly a week or so behind schedule. 🫩

Woop woop! Another patient customer off the list, for now, as they have more items needing upholstering.
This vintage carver chair had a very lumpy seat as there was no lining protecting the foam from the metal springs.
They’re now covered in hessian and padded, new seat cushion which was changed from fixed to loose to even out the wear.
Upholstered in Cristina Marrone Fabrics Dolce beach, a lovely warm yellow velvet. Now back home and more comfortable than ever.

The first job of 2026 landed on my bench today but it wasn't long before the cold attacked my feet, so I went back to finishing two messenger bags that the snow rudely prevented me from finishing.
I'm keeping one, the other is for sale along with all the others.

Another year done and I’m still here.
Thank you to all my 2025 customers, I cherish you all and your recommendations to family and friends.
I thought I’d post a selection of some of my favourites from this year.
Starting with the stunning wing chair from February in patterned velvet. I can’t believe it hasn’t been chosen since.
I’m back to work on the 5th and January is fully booked.
Here’s hoping you keep me busy again next year.

Every year I will repost this, as it’s the worst case of amateur reupholstery I have ever seen. It took my breath away.
It’s made even more beautiful by the stunning Cristina Marrone Fabrics Extravaganza.
It was a challenge as I had no patterns to copy but the end result was worth every minute. 😍

Another set of dining chairs completely refurbished and being shown off to family and friends. These were one of the worst peelers I’ve had. It went everywhere, stained my fingertips and even got under my finger nails. Horrid stuff.
But now consigned to the bin where it belongs. I dare say the vacuum cleaner owes me one. 😂
