🚨 BREAKING: EV charging just got a lot faster… if you don’t mind a few ads.

A new rollout across the UK is introducing “AdCharge” stations—where watching short ads can boost your charging speed by up to 300%.

⚡ 30-second ad = +10% speed
⚡ 2-minute ad = +50% speed
⚡ Watch a full movie trailer = “Ultra Fast Mode”

Drivers can also upgrade to “Ad-Free Charging™”… which, ironically, is just the normal speed.

We at EV Motion are delighted to be involved in rolling out the first few stations in Lincolnshire, bringing this innovative (and slightly entertaining) charging experience to local drivers.

Early users say it’s “not bad,” although one driver reported accidentally watching 17 back-to-back insurance ads just to get home.

Industry experts are calling it “the future of monetised mobility”

We always aim to deliver EV charger installations that not only perform exceptionally but also look great in your home.

This week’s install is a perfect example of how we prioritise neatness and aesthetics. We installed a 32 A Type A RCBO in the consumer unit with built-in surge protection and ran the cable from the utility room so it could be terminated at the rear of the charger—meaning no visible cabling on the exterior of the property.

By using neat conduit internally, we also ensured that no wiring was visible coming out of the board in the utility room. The result? A clean, discreet installation that blends seamlessly with the home, while still meeting all technical and safety requirements.

⚡ A quick turnaround for a growing business in Lincoln ⚡

Recently, a small company in Lincoln found themselves needing a three-phase installed at short notice — their new company car arrived sooner than expected 🚗⚡

The brief was simple:
✅ A fast, reliable three-phase evec charger
✅ Easy for the staff member to plug in and charge when visiting the office
✅ Installed quickly, with minimal disruption

EV charger technology has come a long way in just the last 5–6 years.

This customer originally had a standard charger fitted a few years back, but with new features like solar panel integration now available, they wanted to upgrade. We were able to replace the old unit with a new smart charger that works seamlessly with their solar setup—future-proofing their system and helping them maximise renewable energy use.

A fresh cable run from the garage consumer unit to the charger on the other side of the wall completed the job cleanly and efficiently.

It's great to see how fast the EV market is evolving—and even better to help our customers stay ahead of the curve.

We recently removed 3 faulty dual 7kW chargers and replaced them with 6 22kW Easee Charge units, delivering a powerful three-phase charging solution ⚡.

With some minor circuit alterations and the installation of a larger supply cable, the upgrade was completed efficiently and on time.
