Another day, another new build property with leather jacket damage. This lawn was sown in Spring after the turf had been destroyed by those pesky crane flies.
Combine a leather jacket infestation with clay soil that has minimal nutritional goodness, poor drainage and low quality turf you may end up with something like this customer faced at the start of 2024.
Luckily, there are now more effective means of cranefly control to help those with issues (a lot of the time recurring issues!) Acelpryn has been applied earlier in Autumn to prevent the same happening again this winter.
After a summer of establishment and a Lawnscience treatment programme this lawn is now looking like an actual lawn, and a good one at that if we may say so!
