Another carpet repair completed today in Nottingham โ€” this time a circular burn in a loop pile carpet, right in a very high-traffic area.

The surrounding pile was heavily worn and flattened, while the spare donor piece I was given was almost brand new. That meant a 100% blend simply wasnโ€™t possible โ€” you canโ€™t instantly recreate years of foot traffic on a fresh piece of carpet.

But the goal was simple: remove the obvious burn and make a HUGE improvement.

And the difference? ๐Ÿ‘€

Much better than we expected. ๐Ÿ™Œ

The new section should naturally blend in further as it gets walked on and the pile starts to settle.

Customer happy. Iโ€™m happy. Happy days. ๐Ÿ‘Œ

This one was apparently caused by an ironโ€ฆ although I have to admit, thatโ€™s one interestingly shaped iron burn. ๐Ÿ˜„

The bigger challenge wasnโ€™t just the damage itself. It was right in a high-traffic area between the bed and window, where the surrounding carpet pile was already heavily worn and flattened.

The donor carpet, on the other hand, was nearly new โ€” so I knew from the beginning the repaired area would naturally stand out to some degree.

No rushing. I took my time, blended it as much as the carpet allowed, and gave it the best finish possible.

Invisible? No.
A whole lot better than a big burn in the middle of the carpet? Absolutely. ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Most importantly, the customer was very happy with the result โ€” and that's another damaged carpet that didn't need replacing.
