🏚️ FROM A PROPERTY IN NEED OF SERIOUS HELP TO A COMPLETE TRANSFORMATION! 🏡

Another challenging project completed by D.Lloyd Carpentry and Development!

This property was in a really poor condition when we first started, requiring far more than just a cosmetic refurbishment. It needed extensive structural repairs, major improvements and a complete overhaul from top to bottom.

To make things even more challenging, access to the property was extremely difficult, adding another level of planning and hard work throughout the project. But that doesn't stop us getting the job done!

A full transformation including:

🔨 Full internal strip out
🏠 New main roof, completely rebuilt up and over
🏠 New flat roof, including replacement roof timbers
🔩 Structural crack repairs and support ties
💧 Damp prevention works
🧱 Replacement of rotten lintels with new concrete lintels
🪵 Supporting and strengthening rotten floor joists with new joists
🪜 Completely new staircase fitted, replacing the original which was beyond repair and completely rotten
⚡ Full electrical rewire
🔥 New boiler, complete heating system and radiators
🎨 Full plastering throughout, including rendering and boarding
🚪 New woodwork throughout
🍽️ Brand-new kitchen
🚿 New four-piece bathroom suite – cleverly designed and fitted into a very tight space, making the most of every inch available!
🖌️ Full decoration throughout
🏡 New flooring throughout

This project involved a huge amount of work behind the scenes, tackling structural issues, repairing years of deterioration and bringing the whole property back to life.

The difference between the condition we found it in and the finished result really does speak for itself!

Another big thank you to our regular customer Lois Mackenzie at rowan enterprise for trusting D.Lloyd Carpentry and Development LTD with the project.

Another challenging project, another complete transformation, and another property given a new lease of life.

🏡 ANOTHER PROPERTY TRANSFORMATION COMPLETED 🔨✨

This one was all about giving a tired rental property a fresh new lease of life and getting it ready for sale — improving the look, feel and layout without throwing an unnecessary amount of money at it.

The brief was to keep things cost-effective, but definitely not cheap or too standard.

🔨 What we changed:

🍽️ New kitchen — a budget-conscious choice, but with a more individual look and feel.

🚪 Opened up the kitchen doorway to create a much more open and welcoming feel between the spaces.

🛁 New bathroom, keeping the costs sensible while still achieving a fresh, modern finish.

🪵 New flooring throughout to completely lift the property and tie the rooms together.

🎨 Freshly painted downstairs, giving the whole area a brighter and cleaner feel.

💡 Added more premium light fittings to give the rooms those extra finishing touches.

🚪 All new internal doors throughout.

🛏️ Upstairs layout rearranged to make better use of the space and create a more spacious bedroom layout.

🌡️ We also tackled damp and cold wall issues, improving some of the underlying problems rather than simply covering them up.

The end result is a property that feels brighter, fresher, more spacious and far more appealing, with careful choices made throughout to maximise the overall result without unnecessary expense.

Sometimes it's not about spending the most money — it's about spending it in the right places. 👌
