What was supposed to be a quick repair turned into a major job. Unknown to the owners someone had installed spray foam and covered it up. This all had to be removed and new dense insulation cut in. All new felt, batten and slates with new Lead flashings. Been a real challenge battling snow wind ice and storms but well worth bringing this lovely converted church back to life. Absolutely brilliant couple to work for and thanks to MSG scaffolding, Brazil skips & Jewsons.

Complete roof overhaul for a brilliant couple in Thatcham. Took the existing tiles off and replaced them with new double romans. New flashings and Deepflow guttering and all signed off by building control as a top job. There are approx 600 left now of the old Redland Regent bold rolls if any of you roofers want any for stock for repairs etc as you can’t get them anymore. Customer wants £1 a tile we’ll put you in touch directly if you want any.

Fitting of 3 new Velux Windows and black out blinds in Thatcham this week that had been leaking. The whole row of houses has a bit of a design fault where the windows have been fitted too close together so no side flashings or tiles could be installed in between. New Lead flashings were therefore fitted correctly to make them watertight.

Replacement coping stones for a very nice couple in Henley. It had been leaking for a while as cavity not closed off and the internal dpc trays not fitted correctly. We closed the cavity off with slate and fitted highest grade dpc over the top. New Lead flashings at the back covering over the existing Lead then new stones bedded on. All the new coping stones were specially made to order weighing in at 80kg each so took three of us to get them into the right position.
