Another project coming to an end. A complete rip out of an old attic bathroom and start again. We are really looking forward to the final product beginning of next week. It’s been a mad couple of weeks balancing a few issues including a shortage of diesel, delivery delays and complications as well as brake issues on both our vans. However a couple of evenings, double shifts and some weekend work we are on track to meet the clients deadline of the 12th.

Things have been rather hectic for us and I completely forgot to post these pictures of one of the biggest jobs we have taken on at RT Services history. We laid just short of 80sqm of Chelmer Valley Paving with the concentration on a permeable drainage for our client. With the base consisting of Type 3 stone and 2mm-6mm priora to make sure all water drained quickly and effectively back into the ground. To help this along we laid the pavers with 6mm gaps and filled with 2mm-6mm red granite. What a difference this has made to an old school friends parents outdoor patio area. There was a lot of blood, sweat and tears on this job to achieve the most immaculate looking block paving job I have ever seen. We also help convert a grass area to a small gravel yard with borders and new brick steps. I would like to thank Paul Jarmyn, Curtis Knott and Darren for their hard work. Without this band of Merry men I wouldn’t of been able to do this job. Their hard work and dedication always blows me away. Thank you to The Bramwells for letting us help them convert this area for them.

What a satisfying end to working on a Saturday. I love the end result of floor tiling. Turning a useless slave now into a great space to be used to all weathers. A pleasure to see Jill, Matt, Ramona and Rosa as usual. Thanks to Paul Jarmyn for his expert hand as per usual.

Now to say we are chuffed with this job is an understatement! Our clients gave us the task of lowering their pathway down to pavement level from the their front door to make easy access for the use of a mobility scooter. We took the old path out completely and started over again. Over 800 black and white tiles later it is completed and the client is absolutely chuffed. We hope to return to Acton to do another pathway in the future after someone driving past stopped and saw this and have asked us to go round and measure up next week. I couldn’t be more chuffed and the usual huge thanks to Paul Jarmyn for your hard work and wisdom as what a fantastic looking pathway.

Sometimes my memory fails me and I forget to post but this is a before and after picture of the landscaping we did for a client two weeks ago. We didn’t design it but completed the works and works are still ongoing with a few last minute changes. 180Tonnes of material later and a couple of trucks of plants/trees, irrigation the change is already incredible. We cannot wait to go in next week and install the fencing and once power has been sorted install festoon and pillar lighting around and over the pool.

It was a kind of muddy day fixing broken and blocked drainage pipes, thank goodness no soil pipes this time.

Now this job has made me feel old but none the less I am over the moon with how it turned out. This job was for an old school friend who we haven’t seen each other in god knows how many years. We helped finish off the office by cladding it in cedar while adding a lovely decking space with a bespoke pergola over it. It has been an utter pleasure to do the work for Will Pickering and his family and it’s brought back many amazing school memories. I hope you guys manage to enjoy ‘The Bar’ this summer if the rain ever stops!!!!

It was a pleasure to help a friends best friend out make good some fencing that had come down at her grandparents house. A load of posts had rotten across all sides of the property causing parts of the fence to fail or even come loose and start to float apart in the wind. Our job was to strip the old fence that had issues, salvage as much of the fence as possible and put back up, leaving it all secure once again. Throw in Gareth Harvey to the mix and we have a Dewalt/Makita off with our air coil nailer and a battle of green vs yellow. A couple of weekends later and a cheeky hand from Paul Jarmyn today and the job is a resounding success. With the client being very pleased with what we achieved in so little time and saving her having to purchase a brand new fence by salvaging a lot of the fence before it got truly destroyed.

It’s always a huge pleasure to work for friends and family and we get to do that a lot at the moment. Another satisfied good friend of mine who I went to Uni with and what a great excuse to see Jill, Matt abs Romona over the last couple of weeks. We started off with fixing their creaking floor boards upstairs and the stairs which would wake up everyone in the house if someone got up in the night. We then moved on too laying a new insulated concrete base for their conservatory to warm the place up and we look forward to returning to lay the tiles as well as a few other little jobs. Then onto the main event a new picket fence with a gate at the front of their property which smartens the front of the house up nicely. A simple touch but does exactly what they wanted, dog proof. Then on to the back where we striped the old bushes, brambles and trellis fence out and installed decorative H posts with these nice close board panels and wooden gravel boards for a natural finish. We replaced the old gate at the bottom of the garden and cleared the access path. It’s turned the garden into a bigger brighter area for all the family to enjoy. Thanks always for looking after us Jill and Matt and look forward to seeing you again. Yet again a huge thank you to Paul Jarmyn and Gareth Harvey for their continued support, awesome eye to detail and amazing work ethic, always a pleasure to work with you both.

Phase 2 of this job has come to an end with the final touches of paint being added along with a final wash and scrub down of this lovely front garden on a gorgoeus street in London for The Rollo Family. This phase included re-rendering the front wall and repairing the side wall and bay window. We also rubbed down all windows and painted them along with the masonary around them. A huge thanks to The Rollo Family for thr amount of coffee made and we look forward to hopefully returning for Phase 3 in the coming months. We are chuffed to bits with how this little project has come out. Thanks to Paul Jarmyn for his help as it’s a pleasure working alongside him as always as it’s always a laugh a min with Paul 😛

Phase 2 of this wonderful little project came to a close today with the final touches of paint and final clear up completed on the front of this lovely terraced house in London for The Rollo Family. It started way back in December with us clearing, laying a new patio and finishing of the tessellated pathway. Last week we re-rendered the wall and painted it as well as repaired, sanded down and paint the bay window and surrounding masonary. It’s completed transformed the smal garden of this property and we are chuffed to bits how it turned out. A huge thanks to The Lovely Rollo family for all coffee two guys can drink and look forward to Phase 3 down the line 😜.
