Here’s “The Inspector of Works “ checking we’ve done the job Right, and choosing her New Cat Nap 💤 place!
This is a Family Bathroom refurbishment project we’re working on, not only have the external walls and ceiling been insulated with Celotex, but we’re adding a dual fuel Towel rail, Aqualisa Shower, Night Lights for those stupid o’clock loo visits, overhead lighting, heat recovery extraction fan and under floor Heating.
Underfloor Heating cables should never be run under cabinets or appliances as this will result in hot spots and dramatically shorten the element life.
Also heating redundant areas where footfall is impossible is pointless and is a waste of energy.
This system has a decoupling mat fitted as well as insulation board to ensure the heat goes to the right places and not wasted, and the elements are encapsulated to protect them from the Tiler’s trowel, provide a billiard table smooth and level surface to fix to, and provide better heat dissipation.
The system is designed to give a gentle back ground heat and be kind to your bare feet, it’ll help heat the room of course but we’re using a towel rail to top the heat up.
