🆕 It's here!🎙️

PODCAST ALERT

Our Managing Director, John Palmer, recently took part in the first episode of wienerberger UK's Building for What’s Next, a podcast for architects.

With the Building Safety Act making compliance more rigorous and evidence-driven, many architects are finding that the challenge is not the regulations themselves, but understanding what Building Control is looking for throughout the approval process. 💭

In this episode, John discussed common misconceptions, explores why compliant designs can still face challenges, and shares practical insights into what makes for a stronger submission, helping architects navigate the process with greater confidence. 💪🏽

✨ The last three months have been a busy and rewarding few months for OWL!🦉

We’ve had plenty to celebrate, from welcoming a new starter and achieving additional certifications, to promotions, recognitions and plenty of opportunities for our team to continue developing and growing.

It’s also been great to get out and about with team site inspection days, attend and run our own CPD event and share knowledge and experiences across the industry. Alongside all of this, we’ve got some exciting things in the pipeline — including an upcoming podcast our MD was involved in, which we’re looking forward to sharing with you.

There’s been a lot happening behind the scenes, and we’re proud of the progress our team continues to make. 🙌

Keep an eye out for more updates and highlights👀

Something exciting is coming ! 👀

What does Building Control really expect from architects?

In the first episode of building for what’s next, we’re joined by John Palmer, Managing Director at OWL Building Control Solutions Ltd and a registered building inspector.

Together, we’ll explore some of the most commonly misunderstood parts of the building control process, why compliant designs can still face challenge, and how architects can approach submissions with more confidence.

If you’ve ever wondered where interpretation ends and approval begins, this is a conversation worth listening to.
