A great result for the site team!

Fully Compliant - result achieved during a recent inspection of one of our construction sites by our retained Health and Safety Consultant - BPA Services Ltd.

Bourne Electrical Contractors Ltd led the project as Principle Contractor, supervising other trade sub-contractors to deliver a healthcare project in Tunstall.

Well done to the site team and in particular our site supervisor for this great result that demonstrates our team commitment to health, safety and welfare.

A thank you also to BPA Services Ltd for their support, help and guidance in ensuring we continue to delivery on HS&W for our staff, clients and the public.

One of our team will be happy to provide you a cost. Sometimes we can provide you a quote from the information you provide us, however we more often come to your site to survey the work.

Do you need some sockets installing?
Our team will ensure your new sockets are safe and compliant with BS 7671 Wiring Regulations. There are a number of regulations that need to be applied and considered when it comes to socket outlets such as;
- additional protection by 30mA RCD
- floor area being served
- thermal effects
- protection against overcurrent

Ring final circuits are common place in the UK, but are rarely used elsewhere in the world for socket circuits.

Lighting Design is important.

The lighting levels in your room are measured in Lux.

The chartered institute of building service engineers provides the recommended lux levels for places of work, retail environments, home and education. See table below with recommended levels.

Using design software we determine the right number and type of light fittings for the area to ensure even light distribution, and achieving the correct lux level.
