Iain Murphy founded Alston Murphy Associates in 1992 and, since then, has built up a reputation for integrity and insight which, combined with more than thirty years’ experience, encourages Clients to return time and again.Our aim is to find the best design solution that fits the space, the environment, the Client’s expectations and the budget. Any success in the design and completion of a project

relies on a close working relationship between Architect, Client and Contractor and the Practice sustains a core group of experienced staff to help achieve this. The Practice enjoys a wide variety of work, both in new-build and refurbishment, private and public-sector, and our Clients vary from private individuals to large commercial companies. Whilst the Practice has always been involved in residential building, considerable success has been achieved in many other areas, notably:-

Industrial buildings
Listed building work
Healthcare and Disability

We have particular expertise and experience in the Healthcare and Disability sectors. Since 1992 the Practice has designed around 130 Care Homes, with more than 75 being built, both in the UK and Ireland. We think we know a thing or two about designing Care Homes!
