On Thursday 27th November the new Lidl in The Rock, Telford opened its doors to the public.

Tinnelly Construction are proud to say that they where the principal contractor on this fine Design & Build Project.

This site experienced a muck shift of over 30,000m3. Given the complexity of the ground model the site had to get ground improvements to the foundation with the installation of 612 Nr Piled Rigid Inclusions.

We would like to wish Lidl GB the best of luck with the store. Thank and applaud Daniel Bowie and Dominic Bryan and all in the Lidl Wednesbury property team, SDS design engineers, ALL our sub-contractors and finally team Tinnelly for all their hard work. A great effort by ALL. Now onto to the next ones.

Last Thursday 11th December seen the new Lidl in Grove / Wantage open its doors to the public.

Tinnelly Construction where proud to be the principal contractor on this Design & Build Project.

This site experienced a muck shift of over 40,000m3 in the initial stages and was carried out at a rapid rate with over 250 lorries a day leaving the site. Due to the large volume of ground to be reduced the lands around the site had to be retained with a contiguous piled wall consisting of over 170 Nr Piles and additional large Reinforced Concrete walls.

The hard and soft landscaping had been designed to a high & detailed specification working in close guidance with the Local Planning Association (LPA) to satisfy the planning requirements.

We would like to wish Lidl GB the best of luck with the store. We would also like to thank and applaud Toby Hunt and Kate Bleloch and all in the Lidl Luton property team, the SDS design engineers design team, ALL our sub-contractors and finally team Tinnelly for all their hard work. As this site really was a site that just kept giving from the start to the bitter end! A great effort by ALL.
