🌿 BRINGING THE SCHOOL GROUNDS BACK TO LIFE! 👌

Since starting at Cuthbert Mayne School, we’ve been working our way around the grounds, gradually clearing, reinstating and improving areas to get them back to where they should be.

From tidying up flower beds and clearing accumulated debris to getting outdoor spaces looking smart again, it’s all part of taking a proactive approach to grounds maintenance.

Sometimes it’s the little improvements that make the biggest difference! 💪🌱

We’ll keep working our way around the school, making steady progress and getting everything looking its best.

🍂 SUMMER IS ENDING… BUT THE GRASS HAS OTHER IDEAS! 🌱😂

As we head into autumn, you’d think things might start slowing down on the school grounds… think again!

🤍 Our robotic white liner has been busy marking out training grids.

🤖 Hernan is still out mowing, although I thought I’d remind him who’s boss by getting on and cutting some lawns myself! 😂

🚜 And the Toro LT gang mower? Still producing those lovely stripes that never get old! 👌

The summer maintenance season might be coming to an end, but with the grass still growing strongly, there’s plenty to keep us busy.

From training grids and sports pitches to lawns and those all-important stripes, we’re keeping our school grounds looking their best as the seasons change.

Autumn jobs, summer growth and no shortage of mowing! 💪🌱.

🍂 Autumn is here — and the leaves are coming down! 🍂

Keeping large commercial sites, estates and communal areas clear of leaves takes the right equipment and plenty of power.

Our STIHL BR 800 backpack blower makes light work of large volumes of leaves, allowing our teams to clear paths, car parks, grass areas and planted beds efficiently while keeping sites looking tidy and safe.

We don’t just blow leaves into a pile — where practical, we mulch and return organic material to suitable areas on site, helping reduce waste and return nutrients to the landscape. 🌱

🤕 When the Director gets injured, the rest of the team steps up!

The last couple of weeks haven’t quite gone to plan after I tore my calf playing football, meaning I’ve had to take things a little easier and stick to flat-ground strimming and ride-on/stand-on mowing for the time being.

But the work doesn’t stop! 💪

Our East Devon team has been putting in the extra miles, Hernan has been keeping the grass looking sharp, our white-lining robot with no name has been busy laying down the lines 🤖🤍 and even the Old Guard has been called upon to help carry some of the workload! 😂

A special mention to my dad, Colin, for getting stuck in and helping us keep everything moving. 👊

And despite the dodgy calf, I couldn’t resist a little race against Hernan on the Toro LT-F3000… although I’m not sure who was actually winning! 😂🏁

A few weeks of adapting, helping each other out and making sure our schools continue to receive the same great service.

That’s what being a team is all about. 💚

Another busy week out on the school grounds, with Hernan producing some seriously straight stripes and our unnamed white-lining robot keeping the rugby and football pitches looking sharp! 😂🤍

From perfectly finished stripes to crisp, consistent pitch markings, the right equipment helps us deliver a professional finish across the school estate.

🌱 THE GRASS IS GROWING… AND SO IS THE WORKLOAD! 😂

It’s been another busy week out on the school grounds, and with the grass finally getting going again after the dry summer, there’s certainly no shortage of work!

🤖 Hernan has been putting in the hours — topping back biodiversity areas and then heading straight onto the playing fields to lay down some seriously satisfying stripes.

And the finished result? 👌🌱

But Hernan isn’t getting all the glory…

🔴 Old Red, our trusty Toro GrandStand, has been putting in a shift too, keeping another primary school playing field looking its best. 💪

From biodiversity areas to sports pitches, keeping school grounds looking good is all about getting the right machine on the right job.

A busy week, plenty of mowing, and thankfully… plenty of grass to mow again! 😂🌱

🌱 THE GRASS IS GROWING AGAIN!

It’s been a busy final week before the kids return to school, with Hernan and our FJDynamics White Liner out and about getting sports pitches ready for the new term. 🏉⚽️

While Hernan finishes off the perimeter of the rugby pitch, our PaintMaster™ Pro RLM01 Robotic Line Marker gets to work laying down those crisp, perfectly straight white lines. 🤖🤍

The combination of precision mowing and GPS-guided line marking makes for a pretty satisfying finish!

After a very dry summer, it’s great to finally see the grass starting to grow again — although it does mean Hernan’s summer holiday is officially over! 😂

A final push this week to make sure the pitches are looking their best before the schools reopen. 🎒

🌧️ Getting ahead of the winter weather 🌧️

With the summer drought behind us, we’re now turning our attention to preparing sites for the wetter months ahead.

Our teams have been busy clearing swale drains, drainage channels and banks around balancing ponds, removing overgrowth, vegetation and debris that could restrict water flow when the heavy rainfall arrives. 🌿💧

Good drainage management is all about prevention rather than reaction. Keeping swales, outfalls and pond banks clear now helps reduce the risk of blockages, standing water, erosion and flooding during periods of prolonged rainfall.

With the potential for more unsettled weather patterns as we move into autumn and winter, now is the time to get sites prepared. 💪

🤖 THE ROBOTS ARE BACK! 🌱

After a rather relaxing summer holiday, Hernan has finally been called back into action! 😂☀️

With the rain finally returning, the grass and weeds are starting to wake up again — so it’s back to work for our autonomous mower, taking the tops off the weeds and keeping things under control.

And of course, he wasn’t going back to work alone…

Our FJDynamics PaintMaster™ Pro RLM01 Robotic Line Marker is back out too, getting those crisp white sports lines looking their best. 🤍

Although it seems Chorizo has decided he’s part of the maintenance team too… 🐶😂

🌅 Early start this morning at Cuthbert Mayne School!

With the new term just around the corner, we were up early getting the sports pitches ready for the return of pupils.

🏉 1 × Rugby pitch
⚽️ 1 × 7-a-side football pitch
⚽️ 3 × small-sided football pitches

And when I say “we” marked them… I should probably give most of the credit to our robot! 😂🤖
