🤖 THE ROBOTS ARE BACK! 🌱

After a rather relaxing summer holiday, Hernan has finally been called back into action! 😂☀️

With the rain finally returning, the grass and weeds are starting to wake up again — so it’s back to work for our autonomous mower, taking the tops off the weeds and keeping things under control.

And of course, he wasn’t going back to work alone…

Our FJDynamics PaintMaster™ Pro RLM01 Robotic Line Marker is back out too, getting those crisp white sports lines looking their best. 🤍

Two robots. One job. Keep our grounds looking great. 👌

Although it seems Chorizo has decided he’s part of the maintenance team too… 🐶😂

Hernan might have had the summer off, but there’s no chance of him getting away with another holiday now! 😄

🌅 Early start this morning at Cuthbert Mayne School!

With the new term just around the corner, we were up early getting the sports pitches ready for the return of pupils.

🏉 1 × Rugby pitch
⚽️ 1 × 7-a-side football pitch
⚽️ 3 × small-sided football pitches

And when I say “we” marked them… I should probably give most of the credit to our robot! 😂🤖

Our PaintMaster™ Pro RLM01 Robotic Line Marker by FJDynamics uses GPS-guided technology to deliver crisp, accurate and consistent markings, all controlled from the touch of a screen.

The final result speaks for itself — professional sports pitch markings ready for another school year. 👌

Now, the only question is… when are we finally going to give the robot a name?! 🤔😂

Any suggestions? 👇

🌱 Stripping back the stress – even in the drought! ☀️

It’s been a challenging summer for grass, with prolonged dry weather leaving many areas stressed, dormant and heavily thatched.

Our team have been out carrying out grass stripping and renovation works, removing the build-up of dead material and unwanted thatch to give the existing turf the best possible chance to recover when the rain finally arrives. 💪🌧️

Good turf management isn’t just about cutting grass — sometimes you need to strip it back, improve the surface and prepare it for the next stage of growth.

Despite the conditions, we’re continuing to keep sites moving and getting them ready for when the weather turns. 🌱

🌿 The grass may have slowed down… but we haven’t!

It’s been another busy week across our schools, using this quieter period of grass growth to focus on the areas that need some extra attention.

We’ve been cutting back, clearing and improving areas across the school grounds, making sure they’re looking their best and ready for everyone returning in September. 🎒

And finally, we’ve had some much-needed rain! ☔️

With the ground moisture returning, we’re expecting grass growth to pick up again very soon — but in the meantime, we’re making sure every visit counts and using our time productively to make improvements across the estates we look after.

From cutting back overgrown areas to improving access, boundaries and general presentation, there’s always something to be done.

Quiet grass growth doesn’t mean quiet grounds maintenance. 💪🌱

✨ It’s often the areas people use every day that deserve the most attention.

This week we completed another improvement project at Kingsbridge Community College, focusing on the areas that create the first impression for pupils, staff and visitors.

Years of leaf build-up and overgrown edges had left parking spaces, pathways and access routes looking tired and neglected.

With a thorough clearance and attention to detail, we’ve restored:
🌿 Parking bays
🚶 Pathways
🚗 Access routes
✂️ Kerb edges and surrounding vegetation

The result is a cleaner, safer and more welcoming environment that reflects the high standards expected across the school estate.

It’s amazing what can be achieved with the right team, the right equipment and a commitment to getting the details right.

✨ First impressions start in the car park.

When visitors, parents and staff arrive at a school, the car park is often the very first thing they see.

As part of our ongoing improvement programme across the schools we’ve taken on this year with Education South West, we carried out a full clearance of this main parking area.

The work included:
🌿 Removing built-up leaf debris
✂️ Hedge cutting and verge maintenance
💧 Clearing drainage channels
🧹 Restoring visible kerb edges and parking bays

The result is a cleaner, safer and far more welcoming environment, with parking spaces fully accessible and the whole entrance giving the right first impression.

Sometimes it’s the areas people walk or drive through every day that make the biggest difference when they’re properly maintained.

🌿 Improving our school grounds – one area at a time.

Although grass growth has slowed with the recent dry conditions, our work certainly hasn’t.

Across the schools we welcomed earlier this year, we’re taking the opportunity to carry out improvement works, cutting back overgrown areas, opening up boundaries and tidying spaces that have been waiting for some attention.

We’re also beginning to top selected biodiversity areas where the wildflowers have now finished flowering. While it’s earlier than we would normally expect, the prolonged dry weather has brought the season forward, making it the right time to manage these areas and encourage healthy growth for next year.

Today’s transformation at Dartmouth Academy is another great example of how regular, thoughtful maintenance helps keep school grounds looking their best throughout the year.

There’s nothing more satisfying than a good before-and-after. 🌿➡️🌱

Today’s project involved strimming, mowing and hedge cutting to transform an overgrown area at a local school into a clean, tidy and welcoming outdoor space.

It’s amazing what a little care, attention and the right equipment can achieve. We take pride in creating outdoor environments that pupils, staff and visitors can enjoy all year round.

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Sports Day season wrapped up! ✅

Our final school sports day markings of the season were completed this week, and once again our PaintMaster™ Pro RLM01 Robotic Line Marker by FJD delivered outstanding results.

Using GPS-guided technology and the FJD app, we’re able to produce crisp, accurate, professional-quality lines at the touch of a screen. From running tracks to playing field games and sports pitches, precision is guaranteed every time.

A huge thank you to all the schools that trusted Arccas with their Sports Day line marking this year. We hope everyone has had a fantastic day of competition and fun!

One question though… our robot still doesn’t have a name! 🤖💬

Another one finished ✅

A great result from the Toro LT-F3000 — delivering clean, consistent stripes across this playing field.

It’s always satisfying seeing the transformation from start to finish 👌🌱
