A great achievement for Will! 🚛🌳

We’re proud to share the news that our arborist, Will, has recently gained his HGV licence.

Investing in the development of our team is something we value and we’re pleased to have supported Will in gaining this additional qualification. His new HGV licence means he can now drive our HGV lorries, adding another valuable skill to his role alongside his work as an arborist.

It’s fantastic to see Will continuing to build his experience and take the next step in his development with Maplebeck. Well done, Will! 👏

August has seen a number of emergency call-outs for Maplebeck, with the hot, dry weather contributing to several instances of summer branch drop.

The photos show just some of the broken branches and damaged trees we’ve attended to throughout the month. We provide an emergency tree work service, responding to urgent tree-related issues and helping to make roads and pathways safe when unexpected damage occurs.

A birch tree coming down in sections on a recent domestic job 🌳

With the tree standing close to overhead cables, each section was carefully managed during the dismantling to keep the work controlled and the surrounding area protected.

Behind every well-maintained machine is the work that keeps it running reliably.

We’re fortunate to have an experienced mechanic as part of our operation, allowing us to carry out maintenance and repairs in-house and keep our machinery safe, reliable and ready for the work ahead.

Here, one of our chippers is receiving some attention to ensure it continues to perform at its best.

Tree maintenance works in Retford, helping to maintain clear and accessible pedestrian routes.

The works included the removal of epicormic growth and crown lifting to improve clearance over the path. Carrying out this type of routine maintenance helps manage tree growth while maintaining safe access and keeping the surrounding area well maintained.

A great example of a well-planned domestic site setup🌳

Tree removals in residential areas require careful consideration of the surrounding property, access and working space. Setting up the site correctly allows the team to position equipment safely, establish a controlled working area and ensure materials can be processed efficiently as the removal progresses.

A well-organised setup helps minimise unnecessary disruption to the property while providing the team with a safe and practical working environment throughout the job.
