🎄 Christmas Tree Collection for Charity in North Somerset 🎄

Rather than throwing your Christmas tree away this year, why not put it to good use and help a great cause?

We’re collecting real Christmas trees across North Somerset for a charity donation (pay what you feel).

All proceeds will go to Cancer Research UK
All collected trees will be donated to Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm, where the animals can enjoy them as enrichment

It’s a win-win: support vital cancer research and give your tree a second life helping the animals 🐐🦌🐘🐅

🎄 Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from Petteford’s Tree Surgery 🎄

As we come to the end of the year, I just want to take a moment to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported Petteford’s Tree Surgery this year.

This has been our first year in business, and what an amazing year it’s been. From the support of friends and family behind the scenes, to our lovely customers who trusted us with their trees, I honestly couldn’t be more grateful. The support, recommendations, and kind words have meant everything.

We’ve been incredibly busy, and it’s been great to see the business grow so quickly. Because of that, I’m really excited to say that 2026 will be our second year, and we can’t wait to see what it brings.

Thank you again to everyone who’s been part of the journey so far. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🎅🎉

Today we carried out a crown reduction on a mature Beech. The works were undertaken to reduce end weight on extended limbs, lower wind loading, and restore a balanced crown structure🌳

This helps maintain the tree’s health, structural integrity, and overall appearance while reducing the risk of branch failure🌳

All branches and logs were processed on site, with timber retained and chip recycled locally ensuring sustainable use of materials 🌳

Challenging removal in Bristol this week!
The team at Petteford’s Tree Surgery successfully dismantled a mature ash tree that stood taller than the adjoining three storey property. Situated in a small garden with very limited space to work, the tree extended over houses, fences, and neighbouring gardens making this technical 🌳

To add to the challenge, the tree was located within a conservation area, meaning we worked closely with the local council to obtain the necessary permissions before carrying out the removal 🌳

Through detailed planning, precision and excellent teamwork, we completed the job safely and efficiently with zero damage to surrounding property’s. Another complex project completed to our usual high standards.
