☀️ Making the most of the British summer in the Lakes! 🏞️

With work currently ongoing at Patterdale, the Tom Willoughby Contracts team took a well-earned day afternoon away from site for a team-building walk around Ullswater.

Based just a stone’s throw from the lake, the team laced up their boots and tackled the full 7-mile route around its shores great weather, great views, and even better company.

Nothing beats a bit of fresh air and teamwork against the backdrop of one of the Lake District’s finest lakes! 🥾💙

School’s out for the summer, but work never stops! 🏫

Tom Willoughby’s are busy working on Primary and Secondary schools throughout the North of England to provide extension, refurbishment and maintenance projects, getting them ready for pupils and teachers to return in September.

We'd like to congratulate Daniel Binks and Gareth Norton on their recent promotions within Tom Willoughby! 🎉

Daniel joined Tom Willoughby in 2010 as a Contracts Supervisor. Since then, he's progressed to Area Manager, and his latest promotion now sees him step into the role of Contracts Manager.

Gareth joined Tom Willoughby in 2023 as a Site Manager and has now progressed into the role of Project Manager.

These promotions reflect our culture of developing and promoting talent from within. Congratulations to you both, well deserved!

Tommy and Willow were out and about again 👋🚧

Alongside our partners Northern Safety Group, they visited Yarm School to teach Year 1 & 2 classes about the risks of construction sites and why it's best to stay away.

The visit is part of our work close by, where we're transforming a 20th-century home into a brand-new nursery for little ones aged 0–3 👶🏡

Keeping the local community safe and informed while we bring this project to life!

We're so proud to shout about our amazing Operations Director, Joanne, who's taking on an incredible challenge running 100 miles in just 24 hours in support of the MND Association.

MND (Motor Neurone Disease) is a devastating condition that affects thousands of people and their families across the UK, and Joanne's determination to push herself to the limit for this cause says everything about the kind of person she is.

From all of us good luck, Joanne. We'll be cheering you on every step (all 100 miles!) of the way. 👏

Today marks Armed Forces Day, and Tom Willoughby is proud to support the UK Armed Forces through the work we deliver across the defence estate.

Working alongside Amey Amey, Landmarc, and VIVO Defence Services we help improve the homes, facilities, and infrastructure relied upon by serving personnel and their families every day. From Service Family Accommodation and single living accommodation to training estates and wider military facilities, our teams play a part in ensuring safe, high-quality environments that support operational readiness and wellbeing.

As a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant, we recognise the valuable contribution made by serving personnel, veterans, reservists, and military families, and we are committed to supporting the Armed Forces community through both our work and our employment practices.

We are proud of the role we play in maintaining the places where our Armed Forces live, work, and train, helping to ensure that those who serve our country have facilities they can depend upon.

Horsforth Town Hall – Phase two refurbishment successfully completed!

Following the successful delivery of the phase one refurbishment last year, Tom Willoughby were delighted to be re-engaged by Horsforth Town Council to undertake the phase two renovation works at Horsforth Town Hall.

This fast-paced project was completed successfully, delivering high-quality improvements within the agreed programme and budget, while ensuring the client’s requirements were met throughout.

Phase two refurbishment works included:
✅ Installation of new lighting throughout
✅ Replacement of radiators
✅ Upgraded toilet facilities
✅ New flooring finishes
✅ New doors and ironmongery
✅ Strip-out of existing electrical and mechanical systems
✅ Full redecoration of the second floor

We are proud to have continued our partnership with Horsforth Town Council and to have played a part in enhancing this important community building for future users.

Imagine learning surrounded by this 🏔️

Tom Willoughby are transforming a former Youth Hostel in Patterdale into an incredible immersive outdoor education centre for Delta Academies and progress is really taking shape!

The extension is progressing, new windows are in, and the team are hard at work on electrics, plastering and the finishing touches inside. All set against one of the most breathtaking corners of the Lake District.

We can’t wait to get this great facility up and running for Delta Academies trust and its lucky pupils.🌿✨
